2nd loading screen artwork contest

I wonder if underwater creatures with proboscis would still evolve since the mouth works differently for these creatures?

I think juuzo has already laid out the stuff so we’ll see when the next portion is revealed

Looks like Juuzo made a species based on your submission in the first art contest, @aah31415! Congrats!

I did not expect to see a meme clade, let alone one about crabs this early in the project. Maybe later on, we will eventually see a land clade turn into anteaters.

That demands for ant-likes to evolve first…

I wonder how many times carnivory will evolve in plant-like organisms during this speculative evolution project?

It evolved many times on Earth and so it could do in this project aswell.

Carnivory in plants results from very specific conditions, but given how much longer terrestrial plants will exist on Pangonia I fully expect it to occur at some point.

I wonder if at some point the OG carnivorous plants would go extinct in favour of the newer ones…

I wonder if Parasitic Carnivorous plants could evolve, since those do not exist on Earth due to Parasitism and Carnivory being different modes of nutrient gathering in plants.

That would require a parasitic plant to start targeting animals methinks…

Currently I’ve been working on Topology so I can work on the climate zones of Pangonia.

Also I’ll be doing some of my own art again for the video

I presume this again shall include 3d renders?

There will be 3D models as well as my own drawings.

Do you have a month when you want to drop part 2 of the project yet?

No idea yet. My plan is probably in December or if it gets delayed early January

Well that also leaves me and other contestants with plenty of time to prepare masterpieces… or not.

Don’t put too much pressure on yourself over this.

Nah, I am chilling in terms of this currently

Additional to the Hexaquill info:

Some hexaquillideae subclades develop venom glands within the base of their cirri to help paralyze/poison harder to crack Crustae species

Would they look like fangs or just emit the venom into the saliva/water?
