# About the Aware Stage category

I don’t think mating should automatically put you into the species editor. The reason I think this is because although it makes sense for molecular and multicellular, by the time we get too aware we will be fairly attached to our species and would probably want to spend more time with them. Aware will likely be the main stage of Thrive so I think it should give the player the opportunity to just relax and live life as their current species.
