What would a smart window do besides being another place for unnecessary tech to be put into?

Perhaps as a way to control other things/access other things if you don’t have a cell pone or smart watch? Ordering things online? I guess TV’s would no longer be needed, as smart glass would act as a TV? Many people find smart watches very useful (or they like it because of status), so maybe a similar thing will happen with smart house windows?

I prefer when AI are shown as both heroes and villains, like in I, Robot, as it reflects how people (sadly) behave.
