No, that was a joke post, based on firearm pikmin. I don’t mean new round.

Well all people here submitted their mutations now…

Well, here’s the pikmin:

and the tree!

Can the new species be described?

L.k. hyperia

Just L.k. katomiso without the eyes going down.

L.k. hexapodi

Has some appendages sticking out. They can’t be moved though.

L.a. mega

Wide boi. Tall boi. Long boi. Larger than L.a. fructum in all dimensions.

L.a. deusi

No changes to the stinkmin, but the red pikmin now are hot on the skin.

L.v. hhyyrylaineni

Can use dead hosts for spawning.

L.v. asuculi

Pikmin can now survive without going into the onions at night, decreasing onion reliance.

And these species will evolve alongside us properly, right?

Yeah… Or, I’ll try, at least. I might go insane, though.

If you do keep the species count low, it should be manageable.

Hmm… What should be the max amount of species?

Probably 15, but you can make the cap lower if you wish to.

Yeah, I think that’s a good cap.

We will see how well will you do when we reach the cap…

I hope I stay sane trying to keep track of all the intermediates in my FG…

That is the hope of a GMs running FGs that have an ever-changing amount of AI.

That’s a curse and a blessing - for it can allow a more diverse environment to emerge…

Yeah. Duality of variability…

We can do submit new mutations now, correct?

Yes. They can be submitted now.

Lillium Vespa pikmin species, as a result of having become largely parasitic, pretty much doesn’t use onions anymore, as the spores and hosts do the pikmin production instead. Speaking of spores and hosts, their relationship starts to become interesting, as now the spores make the immune cells recognize pikmin cells as it’s own cells, allowing the creation of symbiont-like systems. Some species of hosts start to form sub-species that have evolved to “coexist” with the pikmin, with them receiving an overclocked metabolism and the pikmin receiving wombs used to make more of them for infecting hosts.

Lillium Altusurculigunner has now even more fruiting bodies growing from each of its two stems. The two stems have become even longer and thicker to accommodate these new fruiting bodies, along with a second layer of leaves. In addition to previous fruiting “pepper” grenades with Mace that can be pulled off harmless by Stink Pikmin, they now grow on the lower, thicker parts of each stem. A new type of fruiting body has developed that is very long. These "gun peppers” are organic fire arms that fire explosive seeds when squeezed near the gun pepper stem. The seeds are filled with explosive compounds, which also cause burning sensations and explode when impacting a surface, and are used to further deter predators from itself and its fellow Pikmin. With these fire arms, they now have a habit of sometimes having mock duels with each other. Moreover, the Stink Pikmin has become even larger and rounder, growing another internal layer inside the previous one, but like the previous internal layers, this one cannot come off.
