Before this project did you have any other major project you worked on like that?

There was Evo. It got to about Thrive 0.2.4 level, and was at version 0.7.8 itself. I stopped making it because 0.7.8 added all the organelles, and I had nobody to test them. I still have the code.

I started in April 2025, and stopped in October 2025. I worked on some smaller stuff during breaks.

When starting edapt why didn’t you pick up from evo?

I hadn’t worked on it for a while, it was too large, and it was too buggy.

So a fresh start I see. Was it also written in a different language/engine?

No, it was exactly the same. It was modular though, and Edapt is currently one-file (that will change in 0.0.0.1 though). The good thing about Evo is that it allowed me to learn things (for it was my first project).

I presume the 0.X.0.0 is for stages and X.0.0.0 is for whether the full game is complete?
