Why not both? I mean NPC creatures are gonna have it, why can we not have it and the creation as seperate options? I know this was probably already mentioned, but I guess i needed to get through to some people here

I agree with you. It could be a new game option. Players always like to have more options, and if it isn’t too much to be bothersome it should be beneficial. Depends on how its gonna work for NPCs(if its planned to be implemented), it might require redesigning it for gameplay purposes. And in that case it probably won’t be worth the work. But who knows, maybe it will work nicely.

I reckon mutations would only work if they were an optional game mechanic at most.

The idea of the game is creating your creature. The evolution is happening to the AI cells.

If auto evolving is optional I wonder what would be the harder way to play, let the game make your creature or designing creatures yourself.
