just so you know, your eyespot cells currently secrete the chemical they use to photorecept, so making them pinhole eyes requires taking that compound and using it elsewhere, evolving a proper intracellular CRS or ERS or a combination of the two which will combine a lot of your traits into it but requires larger cells than you have(though if you keep doubling your stats for a few rounds(approximately 1 full round) you will have cells big enough for that), or having muscles to squeeze out the buildup every so often, also a lot of your cellular processes are pretty unregulated so i’d recommend option 2, and without any of those your vision would be once again reduced to 1p
Can’t I just evolve to have my cells stop producing the compound when they don’t need to? If I can I will replace mutation 4 with that, if I can’t I’ll replace it with the 2nd option that you said.
well if your cells were big enough you could have more internal chemoreceptors in your cells but your cells are already running out of space inside them
