Endless Expanse

Ah sorry i been a bit busy.
I think I want to evolve… multicellularity but it might be to early in the game for that.

I don’t think it is. I got colonialism on round 4, and multicellularity is just a step up from that.

sure but i will keep your organism incase you change you mind or someone else wants to pick up from where you left off

if there are polynucleates it is not too early for multicellularity

Name: Chomavestis multiamici

Attempted Mutations: Intercellular communication (from releasing certain chemicals into the water, which are picked up by the cilia that are used to connect cells), lysosome to help with eating

Description: At the macroscopic level, Chomavestis portokali appears to be a orange mat hovering a few millimeters over the seafloor. At the microscopic level, they are thermosynthesizing organisms that consume substrate and debris, and can consume attacking cells. They are immune to most biotoxins, sense temperature, and can turn sulphur into fructose and iron into ATP.

New Habitat: None

Diet: Debris such as sulphides, iron/iron oxides, dead organisms, and attacking organisms. Heat gradients when possible.

if you evolved gametic reproduction you could use 4 MP every turn and even use MP to give advantage on rolls

No thanks, I already have trouble figuring out what mutations to choose.

as i said earlier castes do not require MP to make so would you like to make a new caste (ex: nerve caste. multiple inputs → 1 output, action potential wires.) but if you choose to use a mutation point to make or upgrade an existing caste you get to give it 2 extra mutations

@Topcode i need your second mutation before i can roll for you

Second mutation I’ll change my color to red

He is a man of simple needs and that I respect

can you do the population math

@everyone we now have a person tracking the environmental compounds to make keeping track of major events and whether or not a species should be extinct much easier

@Topcode @TristanMisja @Cha @jose round 11 has started

name: capsilaris stabulus
attempted mutations: horizontal gene transfer(via trading micronuclei), extremely long and extremely thin vacuoles to transport materials across the cell, mana vacuole (no this game is not LAWK in fact it is too non LAWK to be possible in non LAWK mode for what i have planned), improved cilia.
description: a magic using silica encased polynucleate
new habitat: mid troposphere
diet: anything and everything that moves, sunlight, rocks

What is LAWK even?

name: Parva fluitantia

attempted mutations: speciation between some young and adult in Parva, offical multicelluarism, cellulose as cell wall, Mitochondria (pretty sure the last one failed so here it is again)

description: a purple “algae” which floats on the surface and under with young being mobile and small while the adults are slow and large. They can be slightly seen in large groups but alone their invisible to the naked eye.

new habitat: (Is there even a place with water and sun where they haven’t touched?)

diet:CO2, O2, smaller organisms, sulphur, iron. Fructose, glucose and the sun

LAWK is just life with only traits we’ve seen on Earth

LAWK is ‘Life As We Know it’

Basically it’s life that is similar to what has evolved on earth

Thank you lads I thought it was a something I missed

to make it easier to keep track of each player only gets 1 species so i will replace speciation with specialization

@jose the description is for telling the players what they rolled in a way that makes sense for the story and the rolls are only done by me after at least 3 people have submitted their mutations

Willow, can I keep my species the same for this round?
