Endless Expanse

Is it time for the next round?

yes
@cha @jose @TristanMisja @topcode round 12 has started. if you want to perform an action you have 6

Don’t forget that I have an advantage on mutation rolls.

Name: Chomavestis provecta

Attempted Mutations: Cell signaling, a nucleoid with a nuclear membrane (not a nucleus), a vault organelle, and in the movement caste, myofibril

Description: At the macroscopic level, Chomavestis portokali appears to be a orange mat hovering a few millimeters over the seafloor. At the microscopic level, they are thermosynthesizing organisms that consume substrate and debris, and can consume attacking cells. They are immune to most biotoxins, sense temperature, and can turn sulphur into fructose and iron into ATP. The individual cells can communicate by releasing certain chemicals around them, which are picked by connecting cillia.

New Habitat: None

Diet: Debris such as sulphides, iron/iron oxides, dead organisms, and attacking organisms. Heat gradients when possible.

what is the advantage from?
EDIT: nevermind

name: capsilaris constructicus
attempted mutations: an alternative method of reproduction(building a frustule under itself that is identical to it’s own frustule and then filling it with cytoplasm and membrane bound organelles), improved heart vacuole, constricting protein around 2 parts of the internal frustule, stretchy membrane in the areas the proteins constrict, photoreceptors.
description: a polynucleate that produces everything it needs to produce ATP and sucrose with no need for input unless it wants to reproduce. it has a proto-stomach and a mana vacuole for obtaining resources. it’s main method of asexual reproduction is building a new cell and releasing it as it is not easy to split a frustule without shattering it. it has a system of long thin vacuoles to transport resources with a central vacuole with 2 valves for keeping fluids from flowing the wrong way. it can also use light for sensory input
new habitat: upper troposphere
diet: everything it can eat

name: Parva fluitantia
attempted mutations: cellouse wall (only in adults), thicker membrane to retaine water, proto roots allowing it to attach itself to rock sides and sand to not be sweeped by tide or any other force (adults again), two way stomach for the young.
description: They can be seen with the naked eye in their adult forms though they young can only be spotted near adulthood or in large swarms around the adults with the young being green-ish with the adults being completely purple as their bacteriophyll is used to cacth the sun.
new habitat: Intertidal zone
diet:CO2, O2, smaller organisms, sulphur, iron. Fructose, glucose and the sun
CELL SPECIALIZATION: STEM/Gametes CELL a cell with information to build a new Parva from scrath with another gamete cell to build other adults.

gametes are cells with half the genetic information of it’s parent cell that combines with another gamete cell to make a stem cell which then replicates until there are around 1000000 and then they start to specialize into different types of stem cells. after that they reorganize themselves into the shape of a fetus and the rest is far more commonly known. stem cells are un-specialized cells with the purpose of specializing to heal wounds or form limbs. with that knowledge you should change the specializations area

Yes should have probably made it more clear one second

Wait did you mean you want to know where it is on the organism or what?

i was telling you the difference between a stem cell and a gamete cell is

@TristanMisja what did you mean by a vault organelle?

Alright then to be specific it’s a gamete

you already have gametes though.
EDIT: i gave you a seed cell type instead

@TristanMisja @Topcode @Cha round 12 is over and round 13 has started

Did you figure out what the Vault organelle is?
Also I gave the movement caste flagella in an earlier round that replaces their eating cillia

name: Parva fluitantia
attempted mutations: Fix the stomach tube, stomatas, Fixing the roots so they don’t decay and one large flat “leaf” on the top of the organism.
description: They can be seen with the naked eye in their adult forms though they young can only be spotted near adulthood or in large swarms around the adults with the young being green-ish with the adults being completely purple as their bacteriophyll is used to cacth the sun as well being made of cellulose during adulthood.
new habitat: none (all where the light touches and water the Parva rules)
diet: same as last time
CELL SPECIALIZATION: Biolumiecent cell which only during the night they activate and stay on to attract others of their species as they can see the basic light and shape.

just setting this one out so I don’t delay a round if it happens.

no but i will edit the document to tell you what you rolled once you tell me what it is

Btw two way digestion isn’t like a human digestion its a one way Chamber for the mouth it stomach then expelled

humans can eat or defecate with both ends we just prefer to use one end for one thing and the other for the other thing. most animals do not use their rectums to eat as it is hard to use the side that does not have any adaptations for eating to eat and vice versa

Yea and Two digestion (the thing I mentioned) Is a one way stomach

just like humans are designed to have.

A stomach that then throws up the waste the same way?
(For whatever reason they named it two way for one way and one way for one entrance and one exit)
