It would be cool if Eukaryotic endosymbionts conferred some additional bonuses to their respective organelles, since organelles from secondary endosymbiosis are believed to be the reason for Eukaryotic organelles with more than double membranes.

Having more membranes is not automatically better.

I also do not think that would be an easy thing to implement. Right now an endosymbiosed organelle is just an organelle.

Very true.

Still, it would be interesting, and give more stat variety to organelles without technically make more organelles. I am going to suggest this as a mod idea, if someone else has not already done so.

I moved these posts to a new thread to talk about potential effects of specifically eukaryotes becoming endosymbionts, just so that we aren’t clogging up the bug report.

Perhaps it could be used as an “intermediate” approach between the current endosymbiosis implementation and the “full endosymbiosis” concept?
