Evolve
totally not a ripoff of Path of the Wild
How to Play
You play as an individual of you species, and guide them through their life. You also play as your entire species, guiding them through evolution.
Every round you will get to submit a single action for your creature to take. I will be using the six sided dice rolling system, which goes like this:
1-Failure, Huge Debuff
2-Failure, Small Debuff
3-Failure
4-Success
5-Success, Small Buff
6-Success, Huge Buff
The same goes for evolutions as well.
Depending on how good your species is doing, you may get added a point to your rolls or subtracted a point. If you get a 7, you can add or subtract 1 point from any player, including yourself. If you get an 8, same but with 2 points, and so on.
There are 5 stats to keep track of. These are Maturity, Health, Nutrition, Energy, and Thirst (only for land creatures)
Your goal is simply to survive long enough to reproduce. If any stat falls to 0%, you die. If you die, you re-spawn as a member of your species (unless your species is very bad off, in which you will go extinct instead!) If your species goes extinct, you will have to select any other non extinct species to play as. You can reproduce as soon as your Maturity is at 100% and you have at least 5% of all the other stats. Once you reproduce, you can choose 3 mutations . You can try to do anything you want for actions or mutations, but if you don’t have the necessary adaptations to do it, you will always fail (unless you don’t).
When you evolve, you must choose a new species name every time. You must change your genus name every 5-7 rounds.
The world also changes around you! Check the world map and the climate section in a respective round to see how things are at the moment. Random events may also occur, so watch out for them!
The first 5 rounds will only be for evolving. This means that you will choose new mutations every round until round 6.
How to Join
In order to join, choose a player species to branch off from and select three mutations. If the game is full, you will be put on the waiting list.
Round 0
0 Million Years Since the Great Extinction
After the great extinction, the vast biosphere of Flos has been eradicated. The only surviving macroscopic species, Primium Thrivium, is just a filter feeder that eats microbes off the ocean floor. The planet has stabilized and there are few dangers at the moment. There is 0 competition, as there is only 1 species. Nobody knows what will take advantage of this new world, but something will…
If you have any questions, please ask! I will add any relevant information to the how to play or how to join sections as time goes on. Have fun!
We need 4 people to start. If people join up soon enough round 1 will be on Sunday.
