RP Text

Night loomed. Frich sat cross-legged between the two torches that marked the palisade’s construction. To his left, Rorkuk leaned on a pile of wooden spikes, looking simultaneously bored and tense. While always vigilant himself, Frich knew the reason for the latter; hunters, gatherers, and fishers had reported the presence of strange creatures restlessly patrolling the Kazarite village’s fringes. An attack from wildlife was a very real possibility.

His thoughts were interrupted by distant howls. Both he and Rorkuk stood, bows readied, as canine silhouettes prowled in the darkness. Frich shot one in the shoulder, provoking an agitated yelp, but the wooden arrow did not kill with this strike. The figures bayed at the two sentries.

“I don’t like where this is going,” Rorkuk moaned.

Frich cast aside his bow as the first of the beasts charged straight at him. He grabbed a spear and immediately struck at his assailant’s head. The beast’s jaws clamped down on the spear’s front. Now in the torches’ glow. Frich could see that the attacker was some sort of wolf - its pelt was white, with streaks of red.

Rorkuk, hoisting a spear of his own, struck the “wolf” in its side, drawing blood. It let go of Frich’s weapon and ran off, but two more wolves came barreling toward the duo. Frich slammed one with the butt of his spear, then missed a second strike as it snapped at his right leg. Frich rolled out of the way, then hurled the spear straight at the wolf, piercing the back of its neck. The wolf shook the spear loose, then retreated.

Rorkuk was on the ground, holding his spear against the third wolf’s jaws as it attempted to maul him. Thinking fast, Frich conjured a burst of flame to scorch the wolf’s hide. The wolf yelped and ran off, its trail of smoke mixing into the fog.

Rorkuk stayed down, taking a breather. “I owe you one.”

At a different post, Merlak struck his own spear into a gelatinous green mass. Unfazed, the slime attempted to pull in Merlak with it. “Not happening,” Merlak stated as he let go of the spear, and looked over to Koel.

Thinking back to his experience with Gloom plants, Koel hurled a fireball at the glistening blob, causing it to recoil. Merlak, now drawing upon similar memories, contributed his own fire. The slime writhed in the searing heat as it was reduced to vapor.

In the village proper, a chorus of shouts stirred many Kazarites awake as small wyverns divebombed their fellow tribesmen, fangs bared. Gadof punched one before he could be bitten, then ducked to avoid another swooping towards him. He found himself swarmed by three wyverns at once, and struggled as they sunk their fangs into him. However, two of them dropped dead in rapid succession as Kirala arrived on the scene, who had impaled them with arrows. The third evaded her shot, soaring into the night with a hoarse screech.

Kirala sped away, intent on clearing the village of wyverns, while Gadof staggered towards his hut, weakened by the wyverns’ venom. He collapsed on the animal skin he slept on, finally allowing his muscles to relax. His thoughts were clouded by the venom’s effects, but what thoughts he could muster were focused on the wyvern attack. He faintly remembered reports of wildlife prowling near the village. Good to know, he thought dully, and fell asleep.

Vote: Have Kazar and his apprentices attempt to divine the cause of the unexpected attacks.

Round 25

Special event: (Roll: 17) 1-10 = a bad event 1 being the worst 11-20 = good event 20 gives a large bonus to everyone

(Fernwanderden) @serialkiller- Vote 1: make all my dead people zombies. They will serve my nation eternally (Roll: 4)
Vote 2: attack one last time with everything we have - elephants, cannons, zombies. (Roll: 7)

Vote 3: Create a government based around Sultans as leaders, Sultans will be chosen by their skill with necromancy (Roll: 18)

Fernwanderden Outcome

Wanting revenge on the Flarc for their losses the Fernwanderden try to attack once more with a larger army. This army consisted of Elephants and undead the only problem was that the Flarc overwhelmed the army easily. The Flarc rushed the army and had killed many generals in the army because of the elephants being too slow with the cannons on their backs the Flarc killed many elephants and took the cannons for themselves. These cannons were then used by the Flarc to kill many of the slow-moving zombies and elephants. They then went on to march to the Fernwanderden village. During this fight the Necromancers tried to revive some people into the undead. The Elder Lich intervened and used the newly created zombies to kill the Necromancers. These Necromancers were then revived into Liches to be used to create more zombies to help free the Elder Lich from his imprisonment in the dungeon.

To calm down the people someone came up with the idea of creating a new government. This government had a Sultan in charge of everything and the only way to be made into the Sultan was if the person met the requirement of being able to use Necromancy. After a few days the Flarc finally arrived and had killed more villagers and destroying and looting multiple things of value in the village. The leader of the Flarc after this gave the new Sultan a warning to never attack the Flarc again unless you want to be truly killed off. After these incidents the people have come to fear the undead and have become repulsed by them. The people have also felt its best not to bother the Flarc after this incident.

After all these incidents while the Fernwanderden were rebuilding they found a bird within the rubble. This bird was a large one and the Fernwanderden found that they could be good to scout out things and send messages to others. They had also learned that these birds were intelligent some people wanted to make a contract with these birds to see if they are much more intelligent than they seem to be. (This was from an event)

Vote:build an army

Yay! The gods have blessed me people. Now it is time for them the worship the gods, and get serious!
My vote is to establish the religion of the “God’s Guardians”!

Summery of the religion

In the beginning there was only light. all was seen, nothing is hidden, life flourished everywhere
but then darkness was born. It hid the light, extigushied life, and created a veil between the world of mortal and god:
Magic.

The magic was a false guise, a force composed of darkness. Only the ‘holy’, original magic, the one that purges the evil
of magic and supports life, light and warmth is pure. The rest a composed of either a combination of light and darkness, or are purely dark in
nature, such as necromancy, demonology, darkness and frost magic.

The Althio were choosen by the gods to wield the pure magic, knowing the spells of warmth and life from birth.
However, the Althio are talented, and were born with the power learn the unpure and vile magics. Many of our brethen choose to
practice those arts, and turning for the demons to get their power.
but those who forsake the gods will not go unpunished. The light was given to us for a reason, our inner flame will burn forever.

For each pure magic, there is a god:
Aruen for the magic of light
Feliya for the magic life (nature)
Journ for the magic of wramth (fire)
and finally Zorn, The god without magic, the very first god (antimagic).
P.S. healing is combination of light and life, it’s the combined gift of both gods.

For each evil magic, there is an arch-demon:
Jargan of darkness
Thengan of death
Ziggurd of frost
and Yama, the ruler of demons, the very first demon (demonology).

each god and his pure magic, each god and his champions,
for every Valen is gifted by one of them from birth, and his talent for that magic is boundless.
and every Valen will pass a trial in adulthood, letting him try the diffrent forms of pure magic
and the magic he is talented in would decide his patron god.

and those who strayed from the path will face our retrbuiton
for the valens were choosen as the protectors of purity
we are the vanguard of light, and we will earn the respect of the gods.

The one passing the belief is Soran, a bear like man that led the tribe through the forests, protecting the people during the journey. He claims the have heard the voice of Zorn, who claims the Valenes were chosen to become the god’s champions, and that they have gifted them this fertile land.

He claimed that they have gifted them with affinity to magic, and based on the affinity their people shall be split like so:
The ones talented in the fireball shall become the backbone of the Dragonic Corps, for they are blessed by Journ, the creator of dragons, who believes they can surpass them while not succumbing to their blind pride, protecting their people without fear. (Main army, most common along with Dryads, also take responsibilty for crafting and construction)
The ones talented in healing and show great courage, honesty and sense of justice shall become members of the Beacon Keepers, for they protect the Beacon of Aruen, and will make sure the good will not stray to the path of evil. (Elite corps, Judges, Magic research, scouting. they are a bit more rare)
The ones talented in healing but show compassion, love and care for all and affinity with the animals shall establish the Dryads Order, keeping the Valen in peace with nature (most common along with the Dragonic, framing, hunting and medical care)
Finally those who do not excel in magic, but posses a great martial knowledge shall be known as the Primal, for they hold the powers of Zorn, those that came before all other gods, and guide their people, teach them, and protect them. (also quite rare, research, leadership(Keepers sometimes can replace them), and education, form elite squads with the Keepers).

Soran is Primal, untalented with magic but powerful as a bear.
if this is too much for one vote, then do the religion first and then split them into the groups of gods next round
(as long as nothing goes wrong and I don’t have demon worshiping madmen).

Upon news that the village was under attack, Kirala raced to the north entrance, warriors in tow. However, by the time she arrived, the “emissaries” had left, and several Kazarites laid dead. She seethed, and stormed up to a survivor lying prone on the ground.

“What happened?” She demanded, plans for revenge already taking form in her mind.

The trembling survivor rose to his feet. “There were a few - a few Korens. They had some young ones in a stranglehold, looked even more demonic than the rest of them. They slit their throats and said something about us trying to control them.”

Kirala paused, incredulous, as Nozzik raced onto the scene, with none other than Kazar following close behind. “Something about Korens?” As Kazar stopped to catch his breath, Nozzik dashed out of the north entrance, and noticed the felled sons of Fiod.

“Definitely Korens. By the land, are these even Spiecine? These things are practically demons themselves, except… dead.” He stepped back from the corpses, pondering. “So they just left them here? They look like they’d be leading the bunch, why would they kill them?”

“Fiod…” Kazar muttered under his breath.

Kirala stepped into the fore. “The demon summoners have attacked us time and time again, killing our people and terrorizing the survivors. Now they’ve delivered a direct threat against us, in addition to carrying out another massacre. The time to respond in kind should have been long ago.”

Kazar shook his head. “The Korens have committed a grave act against our people, but we cannot say it was not born of misunderstanding. If the two Spiecine killed were indeed the last vestiges of Fiod, then the regime that slaughtered many Kazarites exists no more.”

Kirala shook her head at Kazar’s passive approach, but didn’t doubt the reasoning behind it. She stepped back and took one long look at the palisade. Its imposing frame obscured vision of what was beyond it. “As good as this thing is for protection, it’s not doing us any favors for actually seeing what’s coming. We need to make sure we don’t get blindsided like this any longer.”

Vote: Build some observation platforms along the palisade, accessible from the inner side by wooden ladders.

People: Some people are unhappy with the new government pretending that Fiod wasn’t real but are fine with the new government and the changes so far that have happened. They also believe the government when they said that they would never have any dictators ever again.

Past Leadership: Fiod: Was a major dictator of his time in the Korens, created a curse on accident that split the people apart. After many years of ruling he was finally killed by his own creations and after this caused an uprising of the people against Fiod’s children who both killed all the people who questioned them. Fiod’s two children: They both died after the New Order had begun to revolt against Fiod and his ideologies because of these two children following in the footsteps of their father the New Order had found them to be an eyesore and knew they had to die. The contract affecting the other people of the Korens are the same as Fiod (Should the contract be broken then they will become Feral Demons or if the demon they are contracted to dies then they become a feral demon.)

Disease/Curses: Piercingitis : a disease spread by vampires to create more vampires, only way for this disease to be spread is if a vampire’s blood is swallowed, or gets into a cut or wound or is injected

Vampiric Demons: These Demons were created because of Fiod’s attempts to make a more devastating monster. These Demons cannot come out during the morning but during the night will attack anyone and everything they see especially Spiecine Althio.

Demon: A demon that Fiod met, this Demon’s intentions with one of Fiod’s children is unknown

(Valens) @Potatomancer- Vote: Create a religion based around many different gods. One god Zorn the god of the god of the untalented (Sorry didn’t know what sort of thing this god was suppose to be based on just let me know later) Journ the god of dragons. (Were there any other gods I might have missed? (Roll: 1) (But ow my friend I didn’t expect you to get a 1 so soon.)

Valens Outcome

A new religion was created but it isn’t popular among the people. There are a bunch of people though who started to twist the religion and had created a cult within the village. This cult had believed that the people weren’t being guided by the gods and were going into the wrong path. So many have begun to kill in the name of their gods and have sacrificed people to appease the gods because they feel that if they do this then no bad luck will ever happen to the people. The non-believers felt the need to defend themselves and have tried banishing every believer of the new religion somewhere else so they wouldn’t be attacked for a while.
