Hi everyone! I’m 13 years old, and I’ve been programming for a few years now. I’m really passionate about creating complex systems and simulations, and that’s exactly what drew me to Thrive. The idea of building an evolution simulator that actually respects science is something I deeply respect.
I have experience with several programming languages and engines:
Godot (GDScript): I’ve been working on my own simulation projects, including a 2D game with conveyor belts and resource management.
C++: I built a voxel engine with instancing and memory optimization (bit masks).
Lua: I created a procedural biome generator for Roblox with 45 biomes and climate simulation.
I’ve also worked with server administration (Docker, Nginx) and basic hardware (ESP-32).
My main interest is in programming — I love optimizing code, solving architectural problems, and making systems feel alive. I’ve already looked through some of the GitHub issues and saw a few marked as “good first issue”. I’d really like to start with one of those to get familiar with the codebase.
A few things about me:
I’m a geography nerd — I used to study maps for hours as a kid, and I still love understanding how systems connect.
I have my own philosophical framework (I call it “The Codex of VSE”) that explores freedom, choice, and creation.
I listen to Lil Peep and play accordion — a weird mix, I know.
I want to contribute to Thrive because I see it as more than just a game. It’s a model of how life, choices, and systems interact. I’m ready to learn, to make mistakes, and to grow as a developer with this project.
If there’s a specific area where you need help — whether it’s fixing bugs, improving performance, or prototyping new mechanics — let me know. I’m also happy to start small and work my way up.
Thank you for reading, and I’m excited to be part of this community.
