I think this could happen when we unlock proper sexual reproduction but not yet at the prokaryotic level.

I wonder how big the total Tree of Life will be for this FG? Like something crazy made by DevonHalstonDreadle?

### Turn 16

### Turn 16 Summary:

875 million years after the formation of the Phyade I star system, the new anoxic form of life has reached the _Panspermium_ Genera Clade (or _Thrivium_ Class Clade if one continues from Phase I). Once more, life has evolved to utilize Hydrogen Sulfide, and now life has expanded to occupy more niches. This includes the return of Melanokoids, and changing of membranes. But the fledgling life forms are still confined to one biome, the Unovaskysian Epipelagic, leading to ever increasing competition between the inhabitants. Also _Granitic Eruptions_ continue on, slowly building up land more resistant to erosion from weathering. Perhaps this change in land composition is why _Ph and Salt shock_ has yet to occur. And radioactivity that came come Radioactive Meteors in the Cablevenian biomes slowly decreases, but still persists. Time will tell what, or if, something befalls our beloved organisms.

Unovaskysian Epipelagic

_Panspermium Melanosis_ (Mutant 68) was the first organism to evolve Melankoids once again. The melanin-granule filled organism head in a Northwest direction, having to face some strong currents. SoFortunately, it found a large cloud of Ammonia. As night fell on Treerilia, a large group of _phi thiosur_ (Ecotype 109) came by, and some of members of this ecotype were already dividing. The more aggressive members of the _Panspermium_ Species Clade pushed _Panspermium Melanosis_ into several poison clouds, nearly killing the nascent organism, as it had 0 health. The organism just about to run out of Glucose when it managed to divide.

_Hydrogena revivalis_ (Species 97) was one of the two new species in the _Panspermium_ Genera Clade. Like _Panspermium xenobeta_ (Subspecies 134) before it, this new species has a Hydrogenase. Unlike the other organisms in these new clades of life, _Hydrogena revivalis_ had evolved a Double membrane. This made the organism slower, but in return, it had 50% more health. The organism headed West, finding clouds of Phosphate and Ammonia right next to each other. While waiting for the light of the Phyade I star to return, the organism noticed a member of _Panspermium Melanosis_ (Mutant 68). Being a different species, _Hydrogena revivalis_ attempted to eat the Melanin organism, even though the two organisms were the same size. Not surprisingly, _Hydrogena revivalis_ accidentally went into a poison hazard cloud when attempting to troll by pushing the other organism, with the other mutant organism going along its merry way.

_Itsjon Cellula_ (Mutant 64) still persisted. Perhaps the single-hex organism’s more aggressive behavior is what helped it to survive. The organism headed in a Southeast direction, finding several clouds of Glucose. _Itsjon Cellula_ was content to stay in those clouds of Glucose, until organisms larger than itself came and surrounded the Glucose cloud. It was a valiant effort, but _Hydrogena revivalis_ (Species 97) managed to snag it, ending the first life of the John Cena of microorganisms. This was the least of the organism’s problems, as it headed Southwest on its second life, several _Panspermium Melanosis_ (Mutant 68) were in another cloud of Glucose. Just like the first life, the organism could not escape. Cha has become extinct from predatory organisms who were not John Cena fans.

_phi thiosur_ (Ecotype 109) was one the two organism to re-evolve Chemosynthesizing Proteins. This two hex organism also inherited the same aggressive behavior seen in _Itsjon Cellula_ (Mutant 64). Heading in a slightly different Southwestern than its ancestor. The sulfur-loving organism found a member of _Itsjon Cellula_ (Mutant 64), which promptly ran away. _phi thiosur_ then found a member of _Panspermium Melanosis_ (Mutant 68) stuck in a strong current. Perhaps the member of Mutant 68 knew what the thio organism did to its fellow kin, doing a Uno Reverse Card by pushing _phi thiorsur_ into a poison cloud. Supposedly, there should have been Hydrogen Sulfide in the biome. Yet none was to be found. doomlightning went extinct due to lack of Hydrogen Sulfide from bad karma.

_Pansperium xebotenso_ (Species 96) was the other new species to emerge in the _Panspermium_ Genera Clade. Like its fellow species, _Hydrogena revivalis_ (Species 97), it had a Hydrogenase from the previous Subspecies created from Horizontal Gene Transfer with remnants of life from Phase I. Whereas _Hydrogena revivalis_ had a different membrane type, _Pansperium xebotenso_ had an 80% more rigid Single Membrane. This made the organism slower, much like its cousin. This more rigid species went Northward, but its sibling organism went into a death spiral. Literally going in circles until it died. _phi thiosur_ (Ecotype 109) engulfed some remains of the fallen cell, but failed to have Horizontal Gene Transfer (0.2864). Later, the organism encountered a group of _Hydrogena revivalis_ (Species 97) chasing some _Itsjon Cellula_ (Mutant 64) and _Panspermium thionorthe_ (Mutant 69). And one member of the fellow species in the _Panspermium_ Genera Clade other species had already increased size from reproduction, making the _xebtenso_ species a target for engulfment. Blocked from escaping by organisms arriving on the other side, it attempted, and failed, to dodge the larger organism. CatSqaured has gone extinct from predation due to microbial negligence.

_Panspermium thionorthe_ (Mutant 69) was the other organism to evolve Chemosynthesizing Proteins. In fact, the Chemosynthesizing Protein were inside the only hex making up the organism, effectively creating a single hex organism that is able to utilize Sulfur. The tiny organism headed Southeast, but encountered the unfixable lag damage bug. It had no choice but to move slowly, much like the other organisms in Phase I. When hiding in an Ammonia cloud, a member of _phi thiosur_ (Ecotype 109) ambushed the tiny organism, failing Horizontal Gene Transfer (0.5785). A member of _Itsjon Cellula_ (Mutant 64) and _Hydrogena revivalis_ (Species 97) passed in different directions by as the sulfur-organism became digested. _Panspermium thionorthe_ (Mutant 69) underwent extinction from failing to evade predator organisms.

…The surface of the world is once again broken, as a large _Granitic lava_ eruption occurs spanning the Cablevenian Estuary and Cablevenian Tidepool, slightly increasing the land area of the Cablevenian biomes. Also, small amounts of Granitic lava erupt beneath the Remarpanic Epipelagic, displacing more water and changing the surface of Treerilia evermore.

…A Meteor from the systems Asteroid belt comes very close the Trerilia-Xanrillon binary planetary system, destabilizing the orbit of the Submoon, Xoruta. Later, a light flashes across the sky on the Southern Hemisphere of Treerilia. The meteor crashes into the lifeless Konramcesgon Epipelagic, bringing more materials from Space onto this still fledgling world.

### Notes:

Note 1 – I did not expect so many Players to go extinct. Intraspecific competition was intense, but interspecific competition was possibly even more intense via Predation. R.I.P. Chemosynthesizing Protein organisms. Hopefully, Chemosynthesizing Proteins will re-evolve.

Note 2 – I posted the turn now, since I am not sure if I will have time to post this tomorrow. I will try to post the Options for Turn 16 sometime this week, but it depends on my University workload.

### Notes:

Note 1 – Since aah31415 and JustaDumbThriver survived, everyone else can choose their organisms after aah31415 and JustaDumbThriver have chosen their organisms from their respective lineages. Because there are more organisms than Players, this means everyone will have their own separate choice of organism, and no one can choose the same organism.

Note 2 – It seems like almost all of the niches are filled. Majority of the niches are filled by the _Hydrogena_ descendants. Will this change in the next round?

Note 3 – Turn 17 will be 400 million years, or the fourth normal 100 million year game turn. This means everyone gets to choose where they want to go for the next turn. People can choose to stay in the Unovaskysian Epipelagic, or go to the Unovaskysian Mesopelagic, Cablevenian Estuary, Konramcesgon Epipelagic, and Rikystasean Costal.

Note 4 – I hope doomlightning is doing well on his research proposal.

Ecotype 113 has 10% Oxygen Resistance (as a modifier), so it can most definitely survive the relatively high (compared to other available biomes) Oxygen content of over 16% in the Cablevenian Estuary. If random chance puts the organism there, of course.

Also, everyone else can choose their organisms now.

If ecotype 113 is still open then I will take it and get moving to the estuary (a boom in diversity of species that can survive higher O2 levels might be born from this or die to a randoma asteroid or volcano) Oxygenium superstes will be its name

How did I miss that? 🤦

So now this means only _Hydrogena_ species options are left for everyone else (except for Mutant 71, since JustaDumbThriver chose it).
