manager secrets
I have accepted your suggestions to change the rules again. I see that Mr. Willow tried to duplicate, but I see that there are not enough points, so I relied on the general change he suggested because that is the amount that was enough for you. If you have any complaints or requests, you are welcome to come to my office which is in the corner, far away from everyone in the company. If I am not here, you can always ask my secretary if you want to make an appointment with me.
So let’s see what happens now that we change the rules for the third time…
The next time I took all the ideas and changes you want to make to our project, I move to the same place in the star room and I put the changes in one by one.
74.77 million BC, I think I’ve already lost the name of the period… Let’s call it “Changes” for now [reminder - to ask the person responsible for the names to come up with a name]
The world is already different than what was known in history - dinosaurs with strange arcane and physiognomic abilities, groups of small creatures (known 5) that began to show signs of intelligence from all groups of the living world and some of the iconic dinosaurs like the titanosaurs and their relatives became extinct in this timeline due to the preferential influence of small creatures. Plants that evolved forcedly began to appear in the ecology as small herds of plant eaters, only as a movement following the sun and protection from predators like other developed insects and all sorts of others. Forests began to spread to places you wouldn’t normally find them, like the poles, and deserts began to be dominated by vegetation that was only limited by water, but with some of them, by arcane natural selection, those that were able to cope with the conditions survived. Even in the oceans. The world has never been warmer or richer than it used to be.
But we, who have become a tradition among us, are going to change that.
The first change to the constitution - Vigor is creative spawning evolution, everything to make all the imitators evolve even faster than their original version in forms never seen before. The slimes were the first to show the big change and you, along with magical abilities, barely escaped extinction from a previous time. With the ability to control the mimics, they began to become even more widespread than usual, subtly replacing other Decomposers such as fungi and other rot eaters and even reaching a certain predation as an arms race was created between the slimes and the evolved insects that began to exploit the new and tougher food source. Some of the mutants began to move in huge swarms and were capable of consuming entire forests in a single week, but the forests and even the smaller dinosaurs began to exploit the random movements and summons of the evolved vegetation against the dynamics of the ever-changing environment: some always follow them, some wait and then enjoy the feast they create and some run away from them.
The larger dinosaurs like the parasaur and some therapsids, even with the explosive power of the archaic mutations, did not have the vigor to penetrate the larger fabric and also became extinct, so that the largest creatures now are the more advanced ankylosaurs that enjoyed a short-lived defense while the accelerated evolution of raptors replaced those that had fallen as the largest predators. There is a rumor that some even developed flight.
In the oceans where algae that walk on the surface of the sea and choke the coral reefs that themselves spread like fields across the oceans, fish and various mollusks showed accelerated development such as the behaviors of diversion and developments that are difficult to detect here, against the sea rulers of the ammonites and the ancestors of the squids, which also did not flourish for the future. Some crustaceans developed arcane psychotic abilities of electrical control that allowed them to defend themselves from predators and even hunt the prey that also quickly became extinct - the mosasaurs and plesiosaurs. The large pterosaurs that hunted the fish that also evolved, were forced to become extinct as well, together with the competition of water birds that evolutionists who have developed the ability to imitate, also manage to show fierce competition among the rulers of the sea… But this does not mean that there was a single representative of the pterosaurs that was small enough to be ‘blessed’ with Vigor, and began to be fake dragons of the seas. This is the end of the age of marine reptiles and the beginning of the age of mollusks.
We can already say that this is a significant mass extinction, and we haven’t even reached the asteroid yet!
Vigor is reality-bending psyonics and intelligent and Vigor is Arcane souls and powerful magic.- Twins were quite identical but at the same time, they did not, have the most drastic effect on life on our nameless world. Magical abilities that were just beginning and strengthened with their entry. Magical abilities that in the essence of their existence before were at most - from two lives - began to become powerful at an inexplicable level. Plants began to control time more and more and began to distort the perception of time of others around them until they were unable to cope with it while others - the spirits that were created, began to develop and create a huge competition between themselves and themselves, which could drastically scar the nameless world and unite into souls with each other while the external world that was violated by the death of the effect and create even more powerful and scarred spirits. There is also evidence of people who began to experience time travel forward or backward mentally and an understanding of how the movement of vigor behaves, began to be assimilated into the creatures themselves. Lizards that began to move in unusual movements may be able to channel energy through their bodies and sacrifice insects to survive while small dinosaurs began to decorate themselves with the intelligence to draw on their bodies with conductive insects and live to use as an arcane conductor.
Other intelligent groups have even begun to show signs of arcane learning not seen before - and can only be attributed to hominoids from a parallel Earth. Understanding wind control, creaking the ground and channeling lost souls as an arcane source or blowing the skulls and branches of massive creatures and living inside their own bodies to display more psychic power by capturing prey larger than themselves, causing complete chaos in an ecology that does not see life and death in the usual way.
It is no different in the days when spirits began to create territories that compare themselves to god-like beings in the depths of the ocean abysses, while various fish species united with crustacean anemones to control the lava flows coming from deep within the earth, and ammonites adorned with air fish bones to hover above the forests of aquatic plants and formed bonds with spirits to become more powerful. It is increasingly difficult to describe what dynamics are taking place in detail (because I probably can’t share everything with you).
So, let’s move on to the fourth change that is also related: Vigor is Imaginary Life and Portals , causing portals to appear randomly in the swords of the nameless world. This is the first change that is not exactly related to living things, but the direct effect on them - it is conceivable. Small and different sized portals - from the size of atoms to larger than mountains, bring chaos and disorder to what comes. Oceans spill over continents and exchanges of creatures between continents to continents, causing astronomical friction between creatures and plants alike, causing even more evolutionary pressure that causes the most drastic changes now that barriers are only in question.
But as these portals began to stabilize and be with the other laws - some of the laws began to affect these portals - portals began to randomly create areas lacking vigor, which until now balances the destructive forces while others cause environments rich in all sorts of things. Some creatures began to control these gates - spirits began to look for gates and portals to move from place to place or even directly control them, as did other creatures. There are evidences of walking vegetation that managed to carry a gate with them to an isolated place if there was a danger of predation, insects and lizards create territories as these gates. The portals are able to move anywhere, except to protest to the nameless world, due to technical limitations of the project, you know, but this does not limit them in terms of time and space on this world.
As the gates stabilized, strange portals began to connect with another law, essentially creating holes in time that allow for a connection between possible time spaces between the present and the past. The future is so anarchic that the portals aren’t exactly stable as they are created, but since it’s hard to detail the consequences, let’s see what species swaps managed to make it into the nameless world from its rich past -
Mmm:
Gorgonopsis - The smaller ones showed that when combined with Vigor, their bodies mutated into a metallic-organic stasis with psychic abilities to lock onto a target from a distance, while a whole herd of them bit into dinosaurs… That’s an annihilation I didn’t expect to happen.
Karaurus - These giant salamanders began to take over any swamps where they could, devouring crocodiles with the ability to control water from the air and create fog.
Attercopus - Scorpion spiders that began to use their ten legs and Vigor webs to create traps to capture spirits and devour them and use their energy to hunt more.
Barracudasauroides - Who would have thought that these ancient ichthyosaurs, when they arrived and mutated and migrated, would show terrifying strength in huge flocks, specially adapted to hunt against sea lords and even majestic sea birds! It seems that luck is more important than intelligence.
Archaeopteris - These plant-eating creatures use their scales to inhabit insects and to mentally control them and carry them like slaves to more convenient sources and escape dangers.
Rhodactis howesii… Did I read that right? [Let me see this list… How did it manage to get to our world? It wasn’t supposed to exist according to the Butterfly Law… It doesn’t matter.] (Modern!!!) flat sea anemone, which began to occupy entire sandy spaces to hunt arcane plankton with hypnosis and definitely alien behaviors.
Sinotubulites - A worm… armored… fan of tentacles that creates webs of sticky mucus underwater, possibly capable of transmitting electrical energy and symbiotically with some crustaceans in the area, feeding on the webs to be at its height (like weed) and controlling an army of zombies.
Gordodon - A sail lizard that pretends to take out its bones and impales open vigorite mimics to serve as a mobile food supply and protection from others. Cruel…
Prototaxites - A giant mushroom that uses its roots to move and drag the earth with it, exposing winds and slimes that are dragged behind it as food sacks and a source of attraction for predators.
And there are many more who violated, but from what I can get information… Those who went back in time, did not exactly survive because the laws of vigor did not exist, but it seems that in the future if the law does not change, we will see more changes and exchanges between species with the portals.
With all the fuss about the previous rules, I’m introducing the latest change: Vigor is Complex and Cooperative Mind. Those who were already smart in the lower strata, became even more complex - species that were not social began to move in large herds and those that were already intelligent, began to change the world. This may not seem like a big change, but like the ants that wiped themselves out in the previous period, now they are back in full force and many different insects also showed social and cooperative behaviors - among themselves and among other species in a web so complex that it would be impossible for us to describe anything without making our brains melt.
The smartest and most arcane species and those with the most complex psychic abilities, are the ones that have been affected the most. In a world where competition is now a constant rule and anything can kill you, even more so now, demanding concessions in exchange for power.
Among ants who, in such complex cooperation with their ancestral version of the apes, began to build living nests using dinosaur corpses and psionic and arcane powers, animating them like Nercomancers or even mimicking other creatures by limbing their bodies and strengthening them with vigor energy, slimes who began to unite to create larger versions of themselves, plankton who began to create webs of their bodies to capture prey or trick predators and plants who began to use leaves as vigor conductors to create emergency ‘scrolls’ in case they changed prey.
But above all - there is evidence that I have found of at least 3 different species that have begun to find a way to control fire for everyday use using arcana and have begun to shape their environment and establish their own territories: These -
The terrifying physical combination of ammonites and a scorpion from the Silurian period who are able to use tentacles and shell tails embedded in rings and vigor filled with arcana, to create simple tools from stones and wave vegetation on the surface of the sea to further channel the abilities of the Paci and portal-finding tools.
Six-winged birds who are able to use their minds to levitate objects and assemble them like skilled human hands, in the air. Weaving in walking vegetation their kin for mobile transportation and for a food source for insects and walking mimics when needed
And a terrifying combination of a platypus-like mammal and a feathered raptor can use feathers to create connections and reside between different places to summon spirits to be appointed within their feathers and blood, to survive in a cruel world and live in caves and draw pictures on them, which with the nameless world - and what exactly we have done to them.
I would have liked to talk more, but this is getting particularly long and so I left the star room to rest from what I saw and what exactly your misery has brought to our project for now.
I guess the rules are already causing complete madness compared to what we do with our regular merchandise and the project is still alive and kicking. It took time to analyze all the information that came from their proposals… it took much longer than it would have liked (two and a half hours to be exact).
And with a hunch with the team that oversees the maintenance of the Nameless World and the Star Chamber, they advised me to find a way to limit the impact of the project or things would end badly. So the genius that I am, as you all know by now, decided to change their points table.
But first, here’s your points update:
Volunteer | Sentences. | Points |
---|---|---|
@AnthropocenianAge | Vigor is Imaginary Life and Portals | 8 |
@fralegend015 | Vigor is reality-bending psyonics and intelligent. | 7 |
@CatSquared | Vigor is Arcane souls and powerful magic. | 6 |
@aah31415 | Vigor is Complex and Cooperative Mind | 5 |
@willow | Vigor is creative spawning evolution | 5 |
And the updated store
Action | Cost | Notes |
---|---|---|
Add a word | 5 | |
Remove a word | 2 | Only possible for sentences with more than 3 words. |
Duplicate a Sentence | 1 | Cost of points by sentence size |
Change a word | 3 | |
Add punctuation marks | 1 | Double cost if it’s for someone else instead |
As you notice, I lowered the cost of most of them to double the cost of others, but at the same time, I raised the price to make you think more lightly about what you would do. (We all know that adding is fun, but there is a limit in my opinion, so let your line of thinking function like a well-oiled human machine would
)
On a different note - we seem to have an unexpected case of contamination by otters. We are trying to rectify the situation and if you find any, report them directly to the people handling it. We would especially appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
