i don’t think a perfect sphere has any orifices for that to get in.
The Infection is a subspace parasite, so The Infection can just warp into it’s prey. That’s what makes The Infection so powerful and so deadly.
and the ORBs can just put infinite space between them and it, just like any other mosquito.
also you would probably be unable to contain it and get your civ decimated by it instead
The Infection could cross that infinite space faster than any ORB could create it or pass through it.
…
the orbs can manipulate space and time, at best for the parasite there’d be space being created between it and its target far faster than light moves while it moves faster than light, that means the infection would veiw the target as not worth the effort and go after you instead
The Infection is built to hunt threats of The Order, whatever that may be. We made The Infection, and we, and only we, can control The Infection.
the ORBs can make time infinitely fast for themselves, there is a chance of 0 you could get one of the parasites in an ORB without it not noticing you, which, considering having a need to sense space will make you sense space being bent, that would not happen
The Infection is stronger, as The Infection can bend time in the exact same way as the ORBS, but has a higher agility, which would be the tie-breaker.
well i guess y’ll just cause a time singularity, and if they have a lower INT then the ORBs will learn how to outsmart them
We control The Infection, and we have an intelligence stat of 70.
Anyone else getting the vibes of two kids play fighting and just escalating more and more over time?
but do you have instant communication(which will probably require magic, which you distrust) and mind control?
yeah, It now more seems like a discussion over OP characters rather than civs.
Yes and yes. Technology can supplement magic.
eh, that’s fair
If we hadn’t argued, you and TeaKing, and all others for that matter, would not be threatened with complete and total annihilation by a trans-dimensional parasite.
So looks like that we’ll have a world war right off the start of the game, lol.
@fralegend015 does my character’s brain get to watch the ensuing chaos
oh but i doubt the parasite would know it hasn’t just died or fallen asleep when it gets inside a member of my species, and there’s no way to tell how far inside of it it’s gotten. and i have an adaptive immune system like literally every other animal and only 10% of the bodies of my species has to stay in the physical plane, and the tentacles do not let anything follow them into their pocket dimension. and even if you find a way in, they don’t let anything follow them out either, so i could just have any members of my species that get infected put their tentacles all either in the physical plane or in their pocket dimension based on where the parasite is. and the pocket dimension is hostile to all that aren’t the tentacles of my species anyway soo
How about we DON’T immediately have a world war? We can all exist just fine without fighting, I’m even thinking about trying to have trade deals with Centarians goblins. If we unify we will be much stronger, so how about we stop trying to threaten each other with how powerful our civilizations are?
