Macroscopic Easter Eggs

I wonder just what sort of skeleton would it be. Maybe there’d also be exoskeletal variants?

In my head I pictured it being based on the Disturbance, but it looks like those bad halloween props of animals where they have bones where they shouldn’t lol

Maybe it could be based off Narotiza’s thrive comic underwater sapients?

I think the willosaur would be more fit for the aware stage.

What about it’s water form that is shown in the spore trailer?

The one with three legs? Could work, but it depends on what other Easter Eggs are added for each stage.

Or would the Debug Squid work better for Macroscopic?

By the way we probably don’t want EA to have eyes upon us right?

Also the Aware stage, I doubt the player would be on land before developing a nervous system. That’s just me though.

You could do something more niche. Like the fake among us cambrian animal β€œSussocaris”

Reminds me of Clausocaris.

If we added this we could as well have the cultures develop some kind of crewmate pattern recognition rarely.

It would be a good idea to add the Elysian Eclipse creature mascot as an Easter Egg macroscopic stage (besides, it looks quite primitive to be at this stage)

Do you mean the blorb mascot?

Should we also add the potato creature, I believe that is what is called, from SPECIES: Artificial Life, Real Evolution?

Where would it show up in? When you’ve just moved to the surface?

If Potato creatures were to appear in the Macroscopic stage, it would make sense for them to appear on land and in water, as Quasar updated SPECIES: ALRE a while ago to include an aquatic Potato. But if they had to appear in only place, probably land, since slugs on land do exist in real life.

Well sea slugs are also a thing…

True. We could have both Land and Sea Potato Easter Eggs. I am not sure if the developers would want to put in effort to have the same Easter Egg on land and in sea.

Maybe the sea/land variant would just be retextured versions of the same thing?

The sea variant should be Blue, and the land variant should be Brown, like how it is in SPECIES: ALRE.

Would they be able to attack plant-like stuff?
