Making a Line For What Content Not to Include

What is “spring”? What is “sentence”? What is “words”? What is “questions”?

Anything that goes inside gets censored. If only the top enters only the tip is censored. It is targeted at the very small demographic of people who want to have their creatures have genitals but don’t want to look at them, it doesn’t have to be perfect. Temporary structures is a good question, I’d say if they are visible before mating, yes, otherwise no. That means no octopus penises but yes sperm packets. Mating is the part that is a cutscene in my mind, when the gametes are being transferred and any buildup that is outside of player control. For humans that is everything after foreplay, but perhaps a second setting could be added to include mating rituals. Sex for pleasure is the same actions, just it doesn’t matter if there’s gamates involved. Yes, my original definition does require gamete exchange, but just have the game figure out what animation to use, and if that animation is ever used for anything else, censor it.

Edit: also just skip the cutscene. I don’t plan on watching it except maybe to see if a cool world building relevant idea is animated in a noncringe way.

If there is a ‘speed time up’ option added for sessile microbes, couldn’t the same code be used to let players skip reproduction? Perhaps it would require skill so you don’t skip too much and not move for a while or perhaps there could be a predetermined hotkey to skip sex using this code

You still haven’t covered pollen exchange or gay sex (or non-mating-style sex in general), or explained what it means for a part to go inside

If someone explains this to you they are insulting you

If you feel it’s so obvious why not share your definition? I won’t be insulted

Some thing goes inside something else
Whats there to explain?

How far does it have to go before it’s inside? How is that measured? Does there need to be an orifice involved? If so, how must the orifice be involved for it to count? How closely must the two things interlock? What is used to decide that?

There are so many questions here to consider

You read what deathwake sent?
Arguing about definitions is useless, we already know what the stuff needed to talk about this topic means

And not arguing about definitions leads us to saying that sticking a penis into a vagina is completely non-sexual if the female doesn’t intend to reproduce

If you want to question common knowledge then so it right.

Define “how” Define “far” Define “does” define “it” define “have” define “to” define “go” define “before” define “inside” define “is” define “there” define “need” define “be” define “an” define “orifice” define “involved” define “if” define “so” degine “must” define “the” define “for” define “count” define “closely” define “two” define “things” define “interlock” define “what” define “used” define “decide” define “that”.

Arguing about things that are common knowledge is useless.

Also to answer your question, how much its inside it’s irrelevant and all the other questions can be answered with “irrelevant”

Inthe context of the game we are talking about (thrive), such a thing will never happen if it iant coded

And why would it not be? It’s not an uncommon adaptation: Even humans do it, in a sense

Furthermore, that isn’t much of an argument. If that is really so much of a sticking point then you could easily replace it with any other up-in-the-air issue:

  • Sticking a penis into a vagina is completely non-sexual if the semen contains pollen
  • Sticking a penis into a vagina is completely non-sexual if the female is dead
  • Sticking a penis into a vagina is completely non-sexual if one of them lost their gobelgium
  • Sticking a penis into an anus is completely non-sexual
  • Sticking a sperm-pack into a vagina is completely non-sexual

No one is gonna argue that those are the case
No one
Also many of those are interactions that wont happen in game

If you think those examples are sexual then make a definition that says so

Or in other words, some of those interactions will happen. Also, which ones do you think are so impossible for the game?

When was it said that it needs sperm?

Are you seriously saying the devs will code all these possibilities?

It was already explained to you why this would be considered sexual

It’s not an adaptation, it’s something any animal sufficently intelligent can do, and there really is no reason to add it since it doesnt add anything interesting or that improves the game.

Plus its obvious that the definitions were dumbed down versions made in the context of the game.

Injecting your offspring technically isn’t mating, no matter what it looks like from outside

Why would they not? Necrophilia shouldn’t be too hard to facilitate, and alternate sex and permanent injuries are no-brainers for things to include

Not in the original definition
