What is a “Smissmas”? Never heard of it.

Smissmas is “short” for Christmas in TF2.

How did it come to be?

It comes from this 2011 blog post: Team Fortress 2

Specifically the line:
“It’s beginning to look a lot like an upcoming holiday our legal department won’t let us mention, but that rhymes with “Smissmas”.”,
which afterwards became an in-joke, and by next year became the new official name for the tf2 seasonal event formerly known as ‘australian christmas’.

An handful of gen beta babies already were born on the world. however, they’re still rolling the update so this is an once-in-two-decades event where babies from two different generations are being born at the same time.

in another note, this year was kinda cool. we got tons of interesting things happening (so many decades weeks…) thrive updates feel more and more enjoyable, and my life changed quite alot. I started my technical course on chemistry (and now i’m able to say long fancy hydrocarbons names and explain what they are to make myself look smort) and i got two lovely girlfriends.

Also, little fun fact, the we’re at the half of this decade and almost on the end of the first quarter of this century. Even if belgium is looking bad everywhere, well, we have another 75 years on this century to fix them.

To my awareness generations are only set after they’ve shown a feature making them unique from the previous one (in a nutshell, you generally don’t predict generations beforehand)
