Linux has a root directory inside of which everything is located. There is no drive letter like in Windows. If you have two hard drives, they will be both located inside the root directory. Only the root user (“admin”) has access to it.
/bin
Contains essential binaries for the OS and commands for all users.
/etc
Contains config files that the end-user can edit to modify the behaviour of different software.
/home
Contains a folder for every user.
/media
Contains file systems of any removable device currently plugged in such as USB keys and optical drives.
/sbin
Contains Binaries for the OS that must only be executed by the root user
usr
The acronym “usr” does not mean “user”, but rather “Unix System Resources”. Apps’ files and libraries are stored within usr’s subfolders.
bin
Program executables are stored here. As @hhyyrylainen has previously mentioned, Linux executables generally don’t have a file extension, so most files within here don’t have one.

lib
Program libraries, which are used by their binaries inside usr/bin, are stored here.
There are people right now who on Linux have a second GPU for passthrough to a Windows VM. So it is definitely possible as long as the host is running Linux. Though from what I’ve heard the setup is pretty hard to get working so only someone who isn’t scared of tweaking Linux config files can get it working. It’s probably the same process for triple GPU setup, just need to prevent the kernel drivers for multiple GPUs from loading and then configure them to be passed to the VM.

Do you plan on adding any more elements to your future build? Because the more you add, the less likely it is to be completed per the newer visions…
Yeah, I think I’ll retract to either using AMD or Nvidia. The latter would make me use X11 instead of Wayland, but I’m unsure whether that’ll cause trouble.

You mean now you want only a 1-GPU computer since you said “or”?
Change of plans. I’ll still buy the Lian-Li Desk PC case, which can hold two computers. I’ll have one Windows 11 computer (debloated) for gaming in general and a Fedora computer for more private stuff (biology & AI research). This would cut my current budget by half and I won’t need water cooling this way.
Almost every week I see a post on reddit where someone is glad they switched to AMD on Linux. It is apparently still that bad and basically a ton of issues just disappear when you use AMD on Linux.

Open-sources go hand-in-hand as it seems. Good for overall open-source scene I’d guess.
I mean VirtualBox is a beginner level VM solution. I’m actually surprised that they still make it for free, but I suppose it is meant to trap enterprise customers into the ecosystem.
Most people probably actually don’t bother to configure anything so they just get the automatic mount paths for USB devices.
I have my secondary array of disks mounted as /mnt/bulk_data and for permissions I’ve set up the “root” folder structure for that disk system as the root user with then folders for my backups and data files being owned by my user account so they can be used normally.
Best Buy Canada says they can’t ship the RTX 5090 FE to Quebec because of QC’s packaging laws, which is about the French language. I’m surprised because I’ve seen unboxing videos of the card and it barely has any word on it. The only words are “Pull” and “Inspired by Gamers. Enhanced by AI. Made by Nvidia.” What the !

Once again overconservation efforts strike where it’s least needed…
You mean the current CAQ government (CAQ is the current ruling party)? They’re talking about making their own constitution, but I’m not sure if they’ll have enough time to do this. At least, I hope they won’t. If Liberals win the next Quebec election, they should just sign the Canadian’s charter and put an end to this madness.
