Iβll certainly keep it in mind, and itβs a nice base idea. I have to warn you though, Thrive indeed has hundreds of unused ideas. Right now for example, I myself am mainly working on making sure all the organelles and upgrades are actually used by auto-evo. That doesnβt even require new models or gameplay mechanics, but for some of these it just hasnβt been picked up by people before.
Maybe if you all want to keep discussing it, you can maybe discuss exactly what this would bring to the game that other parts do not. As mentioned, the mucocyst also protects from engulfment. What gameplay advantage would it give to take this? Is immobilising yourself useful? How should auto-evo treat this upgrade?
Maybe some interesting questions to think about!

It was also suggested this would allow latching onto another cell, for parasitism/straw drinking them. I am not sure if anchoring against the current would be useful or not at this stage (though primitive macroscopic creatures will likely wish to do this), but, combined with the right feeding method, latching on to another cell while you eat them in a non-engulfing manor might be worthwhile. Of course, that would require actually having a non-engulfing method to eat other cells. Alternatively, you could latch on for what what is coming out of the cell (if they regularly poop glucose and you eat glucose, etc.).

I suppose like three, the suck pilus, the barb/harpoon virus and the parasite pilus (which might be the same as the suck pilus)

What about the Conjugation Pilus? That would make it four. Ideally, all four would be great to have.

That would be a bit much when compared with other upgradeable organelles⦠If these are coming, I think movement cilia should come too at least.
Plus, cilia is used for movement (ciliates).

I have a feeling this sort of organelle (an attachment pilus) was already suggested in the past but I canβt quite remember what they called it back thenβ¦

Iβm not sure, the Devs will probably have bigger things that should be done in the later stages.
