Sp: purchase teach and boost brood designer as much as possible with what sp remains

The round says I gained biomass by consuming souls. However, I have no more biomass than I did before. Is this intentional, and if so can you explain why? If not, please fix it so I know a more accurate number.

Vote: Rise up from my pitiful form and gather my allies. My form may be bedraggled and weak for now, but soon I will be strong. (Find 4 more biomass)
Legs —> Strong Legs, so I can lift things many times my weight
Bring Talons to +5, and Stomach to +4
Talons —> Clever Talons, to make plans and wield weapons, making maps (generally increase cunning)
Using SP, upgrade Command to call and control stronger beasts
Waiting until I have all +5 to evolve. Next round I should have one biomass left over in addition to any I gain
