This doesn’t actually matter in modern computing. You need to look up benchmarks to compare things. The _only_ situation where you can compare GHz in modern hardware is if you have basically variants of the same product, in no other case is the comparison very useful. For example you can compare the GHz of the same GPU model from multiple board partners or CPUs part of the same lineup for example AMD’s [Ryzen 9000](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_AMD_Ryzen_processors#Granite_Ridge_desktop) series non-X3D variants (because the 3D cache improves the CPU performance while even sometimes lowering the max GHz).

This is a very good point that putting a discounted part in the list is not going to _stay_ discounted for long.

They are actually good. And have been better on Linux than on Windows (though I guess their older DirectX driver translation layer is now good also on Windows).
Linux GPU drivers go AMD \> Intel \>\>\> Nvidia (nvidia being the worst by a long mile)

I recall JaDT said somewhen earlier they plan the PC to be built at most in some 1-2 months, which probably is much longer than these discounts last.
