Planet genesis

I’ll split off willow’s species, increase movement and stealth both by 1. Scientific name: Pecaurius anocula, common name: Unseen Falsamander
I will fora- wait are all actions T1+? @CatSquared

what are the adaptations necessary for the ocean?
i’m guessing for something that gets its water from the water it’s in, like my species, i’d need something to prevent the water from being pulled out of my body, like filling my blood with urea, or making my cells actively pull water out of the ocean around me?
and cold resistance, and better swimming

M1: mesothermy(increase cold resistance without sacrificing heat tolerance)
M2: spinal fin

the oceans aren’t affected by the drought right? since they’re filled with water by the surrounding oceans, and most of the water that evaporates from them eventually goes back in, either through rain or through river?

yep

JaDT, you should invest heavily into intelligence after the next round is written. It’s stated that without T1 a species will find surviving a lot harder very soon.

Hmm. I’ll spend both of my mutations getting smarter next round. Also, are actions run before or after mutations?

Like willow said, actions are Tier 1. But as you are branching of a creature with a high intelligence, it will be quick to reach Tier 1.

It requires Swimming 10 and Cold resistance 5. You can check in the patch key, as I have added the necessary mutations for each patch.

The Ocean and other Islands aren’t affected by the drought.

Afterwards, but before the population is calculated. Also, thanks for joining Planet Genesis!

Good thing willow’s species is the smartest T0, just barely below T1… I can get to T1 and have an extra mutation to spend!

It would take 2 mutations, 1 to reach 5 and 1 to reach Tier 1.

Oh… I thought T1 was automatically given to you at Level 5 intelligence.

Btw cat^2 will there be other events that will need us to get a higher intelligence tier or else “you will face difficulties”?

@CatSquared You can consult the chart for my evolutions.

The checkmarks indicate they have already been done. You already know what my mutation for this round is!

You going to compete with the two-headed?

Well, I’ll also be eating the underwater corpses that just happen to be near. I’m not sure your species can swim, so that’s a bit of niche partitioning.

I can assume so.
Also as humans are soon to settle our area, I wonder if yours will become a piece of seafood…

Wait, how large is a medium sized species? Because if it’s the size of me, I’m not taking any chances and fighting it. I’ll just run. How big is a medium grazer in meters? @CatSquared I need answers.

why is this in the egg mutations? it’s for the adult members of my species

Research more the next time.

I forgor :skull:
Yeah should’ve done research… But if it had tusks I wouldn’t be near it.

It’s not half as bad as a walrus I suppose…

Still wouldn’t want a sharp tusk deep in my leg though.

Eh, these critters are dumber than a literal fruitfly.
