Probably Not a Species Game: Revival

Vote 1: Shrink in size.

Vote:Larger size

Round 2 , Rise of the Reptilians
More species of reptiles emerge, creating more competition. Those who wish to thrive must fight for their place in the food chain.

Rwunakriyi Eraquana (Biologicah)

Spiky Back - 6 (SUPAH EVOLUTION!)

The Eraquana Clad has developed extremely efficient spikes on itā€™s back, camouflaged as harmless ramifications of itā€™s skin. Sensorial Organs on itā€™s back measure movement nearby, and upon having a creature jump on it, the spikes quickly go up, effectively killing the attacker. This has been extremely effective against Jumpers and the large insects that have started to appear in the Terrascape.

Longevity: 5 years

Appearance: A 24 centimeter lizard with a greyish pigment. When in passive mode, it exhibits several ramifications in itā€™s skin, going from itā€™s head to itā€™s tail. Upon feeling threatened, these spikes go up in the air, making the creature appear scarier and being effectively more dangerous.

Longevity: 4.5 years

Status: Least Concern (Thriving)

Hylomonous Diminutarmata (Positive Tower)

Larger Size - 1

Diminutarmata has become quite smaller in size, rivalring the previous small Hylomonous Dwarfattus. Because of itā€™s small size, it becomes easy prey for larger animals, but because of itā€™s armored skin, it is quite difficult to chew or kill with bites. This has allowed it to survive with moderate success.

Appearance: A 23 centimeter lizard with a very dark green pigment. Itā€™s eyes have a strange, rectangular pupil. On touch, itā€™s skin feels hard.

Longevity: 3 years

Status: Near Threatened (-)

Hylomonous Pulares (serialkiller)

Stronger Bones - 5

The Pulares class has developed a more sturdy, robust, bone structure. This has allowed the previous problem with the back legs breaking to be reduced, increasing to the species lifespan. Itā€™s biggest problem is that it keeps getting caugh in the Eraquana spike trap, thought it still manages to feed off medium sized reptiles with a softer skin.

Appearance: A 20 cm lizard with a green pigment. Its back legs are visibly bigger and more articulate than the front legs.

Longevity: 3.5 years

Status: Near Threatened(+)

Hylomonous Minorca (AgentTine)

Shrink - 4

Hylomonous Minorca seems to be doing the opposite of all itā€™s contemporaneous species. Instead of focusing on becoming bulkier and bigger, it has diminushed even more than itā€™s predecessessors. With a size so small, it becomes incredibly easy prey for amphibian juveniles. Atleast, the ones who manage to survive can hide easily. Beware, the amphibian threat may wipe out these small reptiles quickly.

Appearance: A 10 centimeter lizard with a light green pigment.

Longevity: 1.5 years

Status: Endangered

Hylomonous Giganta (KikyGames)

Become Herbivorous - 3 (Nothing happens)

Hylomonous has managed to keep a good status for itself by simply being the biggest creature around. Let us hope this supremacy will last.

Appearance: A 40cm lizard with a yellow-green pigmentation.

Longevity: 5 years

Status: Least Concern

Hylomonous Planar(Rednascar11)

Basic Gliding - 4
Feathers - 5

This species has adapted to life in the treetops, most like the Pulares clad. However, instead of focusing on jumping on unsuspecting prey, this species has developed a thin membrane between itā€™s front and back legs, allowing it to glide for very short periods of time between adjacent trees. The treetops are full of small bugs, which Planar uses for sustenance. While sleeping, itā€™s glider is sometimes ripped off by other species. The scales of this species have been effectively turned into primitive feathers, both providing warmth and a more aerodynamic body.

Appearance: A 20 centimeter lizard with a blue coloring near itā€™s legs. Between the front and backlegs, this species features a primitive glider, a thin membrane of skin. The scales on the extremities of this reptile have been replaced by primitive feathers, thought these donā€™t cover all of their body yet.

Longevity: 3.5 years

Status: Least Concern (-)

Hylomonous Subterranea(AnimalArmy)

Shrink - 2
Burrow Digging - 5

Subterranea has grown slightly in size, but that is not what differs it from the other species. Using new, stronger front arms it has developed the habit of digging burrows and using them for sleeping. Another plus of this is that, during the burrowing lots of bugs and worms emerge from the ground. This species has found sustenance in isolating itself from the surroundings.

Appearance: A 23 centimeter lizard with strong front legs. Itā€™s skin is a dark brown near the front and gradually becomes green towards the back.

Longevity: 4.5 years

Status: Least Concern

Quests:
To reward players, Iā€™m introducing a quest system. Be the first to complete a quest and gain either a saving throw (the ability to revive your species once if they are extinct) or an extra vote for one turn, that will always be a 5 or 6.

A New Realm: Migrate your species 3 different times, and find 3 different biomes.
Brains Over Brawns: Surprise me.
One Predator to Rule them All: Become the sole top of the food chain on this world.

Remember to be creative, just voting ā€œget bigger brainā€ wonā€™t be enough to get you the Brains over Brawns quest, for example!

Regular vote: More efficient hunting behaviour
Odd vote: venom glands, if possible

Regular Vote: hunt in packs for protection
Odd vote: claws used for climbing
And will there be dinosaurs?

Regular Vote: Grow in size
Odd Vote: Become herbivorous (plz Iā€™m gonna die from not enough food)
Do we have NPCā€™s and do we have climates?

NPCs are:
-fish
-insects
-amphibians

You currently are in a coastal forest biome. You may expend one vote to get to another place.

Regular Vote: Keep shrinking until Iā€™m no longer a viable food source.

Odd Vote: Parasitism.

ā€¦ you might have forgotten to update my size.

You had a 2 in your vote, therefore instead of becoming smaller you became bigger.

Is the carboniferous starting?

It is length.
Also Iā€™ve decided to drop geological periods of time, Iā€™ll just be giving them custom names.

hirohito when will the next round start?

Will try later today. Itā€™s week, so I donā€™t have time for a daily update of course.

Round 3 , Reign of the Reptiles
Reptiles have become a stable niche on this planet. They are now clearly the dominant class

Rwunakriyi Eraquana (Biologicah)

More Efficient Hunting Behaviour - 5
Venom Glands - 3

Eraquana has proved once again to dominate the Dense Forest where it is. The most notorious change is the new deceiving hunting behaviour it has adopted. An Eraquana will use the blood of itā€™s previous victim to look weak, and wander around the less dense parts of the forest. When a creature approaches it to finish it off, it will put itā€™s spikes up and kill the creature. For specimens too big it has developed two bright green sacs in the sides of the mouth. Upon feeling threatened, it will eject the venomous substance into the attacker, immobilizing it.

Longevity: 5.5 years

Appearance: A 24 centimeter lizard with a greyish pigment. It has two bright green sacks in the sides of the mouth. When in passive mode, it exhibits several ramifications in itā€™s skin, going from itā€™s head to itā€™s tail. Upon feeling threatened, these spikes go up in the air, making the creature appear scarier and being effectively more dangerous.

Status: Least Concern
This species is exhausting the ecossystem. Small and medium amphibians become less common in your area.

Hylominidae Exterminatus (Positive Tower)

Poisonous Skin-3
Claws-1

Exterminatus has developed the small nails it possessed into bigger claws, this allows for slaying unsuspecting prey. Because of the better eyes of the creature, it also allows for quick slashing reflexes when feeling threatened.

Appearance: A 23 centimeter lizard with a very dark green pigment. Itā€™s eyes have a strange, rectangular pupil. On touch, itā€™s skin feels hard. The legs of this specimen end in sharp, thick claws.

Longevity: 4 years

Status: Least Concern

Hylomonocopa Amicable (serialkiller)

Venomous Fangs - 2
Become Larger - 6

In the treetops this species continues to have moderate success, but a malign mutation has caused the species fangs to release a toxin towards itself, making it take softer bites, sometimes letting prey escape.

Appearance: A 20 cm lizard with a green pigment. Its back legs are visibly bigger and more articulate than the front legs.

Longevity: 3 years

Status: Vulnerable

Hylominidae Infima (AgentTine)

Shrink-5
Parasitism-1

The new threat in the world stage is not some huge bulky reptile. The Infima clad has become so small, even the amphibian juveniles are too big to eat it. It now clogs onto big species, but with little mobility, like the Enalosauria Ginorma, sucking in itā€™s blood for sustenance.

Appearance: A 4 centimeter lizard with a light green pigment. Itā€™s mouth has developed a special apparatus for sucking blood.

Longevity: 2 years

Status: Near Threatened (+)

Enalosauria Ginorma (KikyGames)

Grow -4
Become Herbivorous-5 (The Dice Gods are now on your side)

While others have gone for the biggest claws, the biggest fangs and the most poisonous venom, Ginorma has opted to become an herbivore, feeding of the bushes near the rim of the Dense Forest. Itā€™s main concern is the New Parasitical species, which sucks on itā€™s sustenance. In small numbers it is not an issue, but it can cause death when in excess.

Appearance: A 450cm reptile with a yellow pigmentation.

Longevity: 7 years

Status: Least Concern(-)

Hylomonocopa Sociala (Rednascar11)

Pack Hunting - 4
Climbing Claws- 1

The current apex of the treetops biome, Sociala has developed extremely rudimentary pack behaviour. Upon seeing a flock of insects or smaller reptiles, a specimen will screech loudly, allowing other nearby members to notice and help. After this, they will separate again, each taking some of the spoils.
This species has also finally cut the need to go off the treetops, developing bent claws that allow for easy mobility between branches and logs.

The claws on this specimen are bent inwards.

Longevity: 4.5 years

Status: Least Concern (+)

Hylominidae Formigae (AnimalArmy)

Shrink-6 (SUPAH EVOLUTION!)
Develop Groups-5

This group has undergone radical changes. The most notable one, is that they are now just a tad smaller than 4 centimeters, making them not viable for other species to eat. Despite their small size, they function almost only on very small worms. The second was the development of an almost family structure. A couple of Formigae will now take turns looking after their eggs, and raise their children until they are old enough.

Appearance: A 4 centimeter lizard with strong front legs. Itā€™s skin is a dark brown near the front and gradually becomes light green towards the back.

Longevity: 3 years

Status: Least Concern (Thriving)

Quests:

A New Realm : Migrate your species 3 different times, and find 3 different biomes.
Brains Over Brawns : Surprise me.
One Predator to Rule them All : Become the sole top of the food chain on this world.

Remember to be creative, just voting ā€œget bigger brainā€ wonā€™t be enough to get you the Brains over Brawns quest, for example!

Iā€™m beginning to change the names of clads, so now we have enalosauria, hylominidae and hylomonocopa.
