You realize that lesser forms of AI are EVERYWHERE right? Thrive has AI in AutoEvo and in how cells react to the player. Are you suggesting we ban all video games, data analysis tools, traffic/hazard avoidance on GPS, and tailored suggestions for products/videos/music etc? Such a bill would never pass.

Now, putting restrictions on specifically Generative AI and on the even more advanced types of AI might pass.

i mean, AI is actually neccesary for games nowadays, but not in the form of gen. AI, but in the form of NPCs, pathfinding, etc.

Gen AI does NOT provide a return on the value of investment that is still somehow being pumped into it

I won’t say that Gen AI has no use, but it is seriously being misused, and is in need of serious regulation, but I fear what comes after that will be far worse, and people seem to be determined to make it.

No, I meant decision making/self aware AI. I believe that Japan is experimenting with making AI that can match/surpass human intelligence. That is even worse than what we are dealing with with Gen AI.
