well duh but i can fix that by upgrading my gene stealing with some soul magic using speciesâ DNA, the magic deficient thing is only level 3 after all
Level 3 itâs the highest level possible for a disadvantage/advantage, you arenât getting any soul magic anytime soon.
keyword: soon, either way iâm pretty sure iâd have to leave my planet to find normal magic let alone soul magic, and i know itâd take stealing at least 3 levels of magic proficiency to even neutralize the magic deficiency, and iâm pretty sure the reason itâs level 3 is stated in the lore for my species.
EDIT: nevermind i guess i didnât put it in there, but i meant to state that itâs because the planet they live on has so little magic youâd need to be a completely sessile large plant to not be severely disadvantaged by trying to adapt to using magic, so animals just didnât do it directly and only adapted to survive it instead, and the ones that have magic got it from either viruses carrying the genes to do it from plants to them, or from being extremely lucky and having kleptogenetic abilities, though even then theyâd likely have to drink or eat the plant to get the mana to use the magic genes. though really doom gets the final say in the exact history of the planet especially since i didnât make one to spawn on

you underestimate the power of poison obviously, strong enough poison can put anything to sleep, permanence is optional, and since i donât need to breathe that opens up a LOT more poisons to use
poison, also if youâre part vampire wouldnât i be able to point the power of a hundred suns at you and instantly kill your character?

also what would i have to gain from artificial inteligence that canât be affected by poison? its abilities are purely mechanical so i wouldnât gain anything from melting it to death, iâd have to carefully take it down and tear it apart to gain anything

also, my body can act even without me thinking. meaning unconciousness aint an issue.

well, i could always make sure itâs a lethal poison since your body will likely stick around for a while after you die, after all, as long as itâs a clean death i can just eat my old body after ingesting an antidote to the poison that killed me so i have a lot of time to test poisons
Nigel is probably going to do something ridiculous like completely close every orifice of itâs body (including pores) to prevent the poison from entering him.

Not necessarily, what with magic existing and various species who no doubt have a special ability meaning they literally cannot be put to sleep or poisoned or something, there is never any sort of guarantee with anything working in this world
but if their special ability is just for poisoning i can just use a virus, if itâs for both, arrows will do just fine, if it canât be harmed by anything not living, i guess iâll just throw a spearfish or piranha or whatever at it, if itâs incorporeal, iâll need maghic to touch it unless my magic deficiency works by repelling mana from my body in which case, punch through the heart, or if itâs made of mana and i have gotten enough magic genes to get rid of my mana deficiency, likely turning it into a mana barrier, i can learn how to poison magic and use that to poison the mana being
i know, but persistence and advantage work wonders when it comes to that
well i based mine off of both a real salamander and a fictional lizard i made, and i didnât want to be limited by what i chose at the start so i minmaxed a bit, i also tried to make it more balanced than the last three characters i made like it.
itâs not gonna stay balanced but i wanted to start out balanced
