My character understands the concept of an infinite universe not being able to be controlled by any one thing.
Sure you can control an infinite number of universes, but you cannot control every universe. That’s just how a truly infinite multiverse works. You want to get from point A to point B. Good luck with that, there are an infinite number of you that do and an infinite number of you that don’t. Any attempt and change in one of them spurs on infinite new universes where that change never happened, or where it had an unintended effect, or where you can’t tell if the change even happened or not in the first place!

I’m getting mixed messages here.
Basically time, space, realities, dimensions, “many worlds”; they’re all continuous.
Trying to effect one spurs on others to create the multiverse anew.
Now technically, the multiverse is static.
Technically, but only if you include time in that set of things you’re looking at.
Look out far enough in any one axis and you’ll see something like pi. Infinite, occasionally repeating, you’re guaranteed to find any given sequence you can imagine if you look far enough. Infinite and non-repeating.

Still it’s impossible even for Entity X to truly erase the multiverse. At best they can lock themselves off from it and give the impression that the multiverse was destroyed by pulling things from some other worlds into theirs, but they cant really destroy it. Just move stuff around. Pluss an infinite multiverse implies the existence of an infinite number of more powerful entities, each with the ability to overpower infinite more.

It really is just chaos in the multiverse, and there’s no containing it. The best you can do is keep it out.

From what I gather Entity X has done a pretty good job so far.
