Rotifera

There is also yummy algae in the oceans, so that’s a pull factor.

Shouldn’t some also reside in the freshwaters?

Yes, but the herbivores adapted to open ocean can eat algae without worriying about predators at all.

That doesn’t mean there will be NO herbivores in the lakes and rivers still.

Yeah, I know that. Moving to oceans is an optional thing. But think of it like the first tetrapodamorphs. They could eat food, dodge predators, in the oceans just fine. But they adapted to land because it was an open niche.

Someone will probably use staying in such a vacant spot…

Yeah. Also, @domin2ktr needs to resubmit their mutation, because there are no stentors on this world.

And also a species name. AA is yet to have posted anything here too.

@domin2ktr @AnthropocenianAge Submit your species name and mutation! There are no stentors on this world, so domin2ktr must make a new mutation.

I wonder how long will it take the algae to evolve into proper plants…

Is it possible to make the same mutation but instead of stentor there will be ordinary ciliates?

There are no ciliates on the moon, but amoebas are around.

Hmmm. Let’s make a poll.

Paramecia and didinia?
  • Yes, how would they not get on the seeding ships?
  • No, I hate domin2ktr!

This poll will only have the power to say that Paramecium and Didinium will be on this world. Stentors eat rotifers, and since rotifers are supposed to be top of the food chain, that is a no-go.

Next up, shrimpworld x rotiferworld crossover poll.

I will note that the cells are at most half a millimeter, with the ciliates being only 0.1 micrometers, while T. ancestria is a whole millimeter. So @domin2ktr, you can have paramecia be ciliate cells on your rotifer’s sides.

By the way JaDT, as we’re playing on a moon of a gas giant, are the polar regions bombarded with radiation?

Rotifera multumpoda has evolved extra feet in the posterior region/tail.

The genus is trichostoma, so it would be t. multumpoda. Also, here are the rotifer fellas…

and the tree!

Can we submit new mutations yet?

Yes, you can! When a round is done, I make a picture for all the player rotifers. So if I post a picture, then that means you can submit new mutations.
