You didn’t explain how they manage to create a fire above water and do metalworking with the metal above water when they are an aquatic species

or they have lungs cuz there isnt alot of oxigen it the water

If the species can go on land / above water they are amphibians
what if they are like whales and just beach them selvs on the platform and then another pushes it off
but they have limgs

i think we just skip that and they go to land with lead and then they find beter metals on land

You aren’t really explaining how they can go on land once they have melted lead into spear tips
