A society without morals is a society not worth living in
Do you believe all morals we hold today are pragmatic?
I believe morals keep society together, as without them, many things would out of balance and chaotic.
I am putting heavy emphasis on ALL morals. Do you think every moral by which laws are made is practical?
International laws*
To keep it short, it depends.
I am gonna start a thread on this.
I want an in-depth discussion on morality.
Moral should only be considered when crimes against humanity are commited, else, when it comes to strategy, marketing or science, pragmatism is more important.
It depends on the situation. Simply put, sometimes, some slight war crimes are necessary, but that doesn’t mean they should just become the norm.

@hhyyrylainen, when you said bachelor level thesis do I actually have to do that or just have an essay that explains my civilization acquiring the technology to go to space?
I didn’t fully mean it. But I’m tired of reading half-assed solutions that only cover one step that somehow magically then makes all issues disappear
How the f are some war crimes necessary
double-tapping is a war-crime, as it’s against the Geneva conventions
it’s when you kill someone that has already been “disabled” (I.E. you’re not allowed to blow up hospitals or execute injured enemy troops)
however, there are a lot of occasions where it’s the most merciful thing to do, for example if a soldier has his/her legs blown off and is slowly bleeding to death, it’ll just be more merciful to end it quickly than to let him/her bleed to death while waiting for a medic
