Alright, I need information I don’t have in order to find the heat transference rate of silicon by radiation.
Don’t you instead need heat transfer rates in water and then the rate of heat transfer inside / through silicon?
the temperature needed is around 2000 so I need the heat transfer rate through the shell in order to calculate how long the creature can be in those extreme conditions before the internal heat becomes lethal.
