as dead as a spammer when a mod is online
Spam is dead on discourse even when a mod is not online. The automated spam combating mechanisms have caught all but 2 spammers on these forums since the beginning

In the same time something like 25 spammers have been automatically detected
Who have been caught spamming ? I have never seen anyone seriously spam before.

You haven’t seen anyone spam because they either get autobanned or I caught it before
There’s been a bunch of indian spammers who post very generic responses to random threads, probably to farm posts before they start posting spam links

Does autobanning hide their posts? i have literally never seen a single spammy post
Yes the posts are hidden when auto flagged until a moderator approves them or deletes the spammer’s account

where did they post?
That account didn’t actually post, but filled in their profile with basically advertising text and a link to a random website
It’s been a while since the Indian spammers have posted, I hope they have given up
