OK, the only vent that has been specified in the entire discussion has been hydrothermal vents and when i start just saying vents, someone thinks that i’m talking about building vents.

Spodes comment on the Underwater Civilizations Take 2, I only just starting looking at the forum again and saw one guy talking about vents and you posting a vote on if aqua civs are impossible.

I see no reason why not, the planet could be smaller or less dense than earth. Another option is that there is a naturally occurring resource that they could build a pressure resistant building out of.
first they cant build air tite rooms and secont the vents are too deep for there to be air

again ur using magic for it to work and a small world with shalol oceans will be too smal to have vents
Ok i’m going to respond to these in order
First, I’m not talking about a room where you pump air into it to push the water down, i’m talking the simpler option where the room gets filled with gas from the vent, the creatures can’t breath air anyway. Second I offered up the option of a high pressure tolerant material, not all vents are located 4000 meter under, some are higher and you could use those.
