It would be quite embarrassing if the city fell to the first external danger that attacked it (during our rule)…
If the Iskaei people were in a manga, what would do you thinks this situation would be called? Maybe something like:
Called from Other Worlds to a City on the Edge of Oblivion
![]()
I don’t think our city is quite at the edge of oblivion (destruction?) yet.
I just got a live update from the battlefield.
This is the current situation:
From the woods, a group of people emerged from the thicket of the woods into the open space between us and the city walls. All of them, according to observation, were armed with various weapons - mainly laser weapons and cold weapons, we did not see any siege weapons. One of the group leaders began to scream towards the wall - ordering us to open the gate so that they could eliminate the evil tyrant of the last human city.
But without any response back from our side, they began to charge towards the walls. Their speed is described as inhuman, as one might describe Isekai people blessed by fictional gods. The army defending the walls began to fire powder weapons at the group - together 1 for every 2000 people on the wide wall to them, they proved to be tougher than I had expected. Between the vine traps we had placed, they were quite easily discovered once the first one encountered and was shot by us. But the bullets failed to cause any damage to the enemy. They began to advance at a dizzying pace while we brought in the first artillery built - the mortar. A ball of fire and poison - with a kill authorization order, was launched straight at them. Some dodged but others took the full damage.
With that we managed to kill the first of them, but another group of people began to emerge from the forest and revealed something that would not have been detected by observations - a large laser weapon - similar to those above the walls, but much smaller in proportion, loaded by… people with electrical powers…(Did I read that right… yes I did)
The same laser fire began straight towards our forces with powerful damage that managed to melt part of the wall and with it casualties were reported. All casualties were effectively evacuated but the lasers continued to fire. This is the point where Drakonis began to advance into the battlefield and reveal the true dragon-like forms (can’t identify what type it is… Western or Eastern… I don’t think I have any information on it… although we’ve encountered many of them), peeled off the wall and began to distract the first group with its form. Our army launched more mortars at those in the forest and with Drakonis’ support, we manage to create a status line.
But I manage to detect alien energy from the technology that is still being built by alien forces.. It is possible that they are involved, although I think it is nonsense. But all we managed to reveal is about 200 people out of the 1500 according to the report and still no sign of a siege weapon, but with the laser itself indicating that even with the tracking from the enemy, it is not enough.
One of the outsiders began to reveal something that was swallowed from his skin and revealed a mechanical metal layer that releases a fireball at our forces! Our army is holding out but the military forces are starting to dwindle and are still unable to function. Some of the armies from the more distant parts of the wall have begun to move towards the battlefield for reinforcements.
Overall Currant Battle Summary:
Casualties: 920~
Killed: 20~
Enemy Force Eliminated: 3~
This is not a good sign: I predict that the next part of our battle will be against us - even with all our agreements, it has already started on a bad side, now I need your ideas in the war room on what we can do.
Some of the Drakonis are still with us to hear our ideas, so that the final decision on our part will go straight to the battlefield without any communication delay. Your ideas should be the ones that will counter the odds this time.

The Isekai people are doing it under their own volition, right? They are not being mind controlled in any way?
I don’t think I can really help in any way here
Don’t you have any ideas on how we can get through this? (It has nothing to do with what you do in your regular role and the war room - any idea is welcome - like where to put soldiers, who to shoot, etc.)
And besides that - I currently have no proof or denial that brain transmission is currently taking place with them.
I am not sure how I can help, either. Maybe use some of my magical feathers or other magical objects as a distraction?
We should probably focus on destroying their heavy weaponry
Do we know any weakness of the heavy weapons they are using?
Well hopefully pointing a laser weapon at it for long enough will destroy it
Is anyone on the enemy’s side protecting the electric powered Isekai?
There is evidence that there are guards near the laser weapons.
What are the powers of the laser weapon guards?
Perhaps we can do an attack on them from below. Or disguise some of our soldiers as Isekai to get close to the laser weapons.
Unknow
its probebely very diveres
I feel like the metal moles would be useful for this situation
I could probably join in on the fight, being a colonial organism I can split myself up into multiple small forms (with a cluster kept at base for safe keeping) and either attempt to gain control of the weapon or maybe even attempt to parasitize one of them. As long as a single zooid survives I can eventually regenerate. And considering I am a soft bodied thing I would probably be a lot more stealthy…
I think it’d be pretty risky to go down to 1 zooid no?
ILUSSION MAGIC RITUAL
We gotta make the enemy disoriented
Make them think the entire city suddenly moved
Have nightmareish visions haunting their minds!
Make them stare into the abyss to which they’ll sink!
They already seem to be under some sort of influence, are you sure that wouldn’t deminish the value of extra disorientation?
