Thalassopocalypse

Yep. I finished the novella, at a nice 63 pages (which isn’t that short considering Animal Farm was also sixty pages.)

How long did it take in the end to write?

Only 1.5 weeks. I procrastinated a little in between so it took longer.

So it must’ve taken you most of your free time during this period to write it?

There is still β€œlater” I suppose

And I still have not gone to the remaining Mangroves.

I suppose you first need to strike a good balance in populations before you can evolve safely

Yeah. And the fact that I have hit the size limit has slowed down how often I can mutate/move.

You must keep with this mutation rate decrease if you wish to β€œwin” the fg

Hopefully, everyone is still alive by the end of the FG.

This will probably greatly depend on what and how many events happen

Mutations: Opportunistic group hunting behavior similar to piranha’s in response to injured prey or harsh times, burrow building behavior for eggs to increase larvae survival rate

  1. Reduce the time the plant is in the gamtophyte stage even further (less time and size in the prothelium stage, most of the investment in the sporophyte stage. Bring the fern closer to gymnosperms)
  2. The dispersal process of the microspores will now be wind-dependent instead of just water-dependent, allowing them to reach deeper into the land.

Shouldn’t it be more time in the sporophyte?

Hopefully, nothing bad is coming from the Obelisk…

Maybe a second sea level rise event will happen?

Maybe an increase in underwater volcanism?

Would that bring forth new islands?

Mutation Uno: Evolve to handle more cooler waters so the mats aren’t limited to a belt of warm shallow water.

Action: Spread to mangroves
