The Factory Forum Game (Reboot) (DEAD)

The reboot for this is back up.
This time I have a whole lot more planned ahead.
I’m just copy pasting the old stuff for convenience.

The Plot
In a date unknown, humans have colonized the solar system. but that was long ago.
Now there is nothing of them left. Mega structures are destroyed, cities lost to time.
All that is left is their material imprint, that and the life they spread.
You awaken now, an AI in orbit around mars. No communications can be made.
With power low, and no help coming, the planet is the only option.
Several AIs are created and dropped onto the planet, meant to continue something long forgotten.
These AIs are equipped with only basic supplies, they will have to expand to survive.
You play as these AI.

The Rules
This forum game uses parts from civilization forum games, but with a few changed mechanics. Focused on resource management.

AI name:
This is what you will be referred to as. Pretty obvious.

Electricity:
Electricity is your main resource, used for pretty much everything. If you run out, you enter emergency power, leaving you with a few turns to restore power or you shut down for good.
Electricity is measured in kilo-flux, mega-flux, giga-flux etc. It is a made up unit of energy.

Resources:
Resources are a measure of collected stuff, they are used to produce things of all kinds.
They include things such as steel, copper, wood, and even water. They are also measured by the kilo, mega, giga etc. ex. 4k Iron plates.

Category:
Most materials will have a category. Categories will be listed by the material in parentheses.
If a construct calls for a category, you can use any material with that category.
Note that material does not effect the properties of the construct.

Storage:
Storage is the max amount of total resources you can have. It is split into liquid and solid storage, and can be increased by building warehouses and fluid tanks.
If your storage is maxed out your factories automatically disable until there is more storage. In actions you can choose to dump material if need be.

Construction:
These are the things such as factories and drones, they work by rolling a 6-sided die and the results are as followed

  1. Construction fails, nothing happens.
  2. Construction goes badly, it ends up low quality.
    3-4. Construction is completed, it is made without incident.
  3. Construction is well focused, it ends up high quality.
  4. Construction goes very well, you get an extra construction of your choice(always standard quality) or you can the one your making high quality.

Quality:
If a construction is made under certain conditions (rolling a 2 or 5) it will be of low or high quality. If a construction is high quality it will produce more material for free if it was a factory or mine and have a bonus if it’s a drone or other attacking unit. If was low quality it does the opposite, it produces less or has worse stats.

Damage:
If a factory or drone is attacked it will take damage. It is on a scale of 0-100%. It starts at 0 and if it reaches 100% it is destroyed. They also take slight damage every couple turns (To simulate wear over time). They can be repaired in actions for some resources. Repairing cost 10% the machines cost to repair 50%, and it must not be under attack or be outside of base.

Constructs:
A simple list of all things constructed (As in factories and drones) and all there stats including
Quality
Inputs
Outputs
Damage
If it’s been disabled

Research:
Each round you can select something to research. Researching unlocks new technology such as new factories. To research you roll a 6-sided die and add that to a total for that research, each research has a difficulty which you need your total to reach that amount or more to complete the research. Research can be upgraded by researching (How ironic) the upgrade, allowing more research at once and more research dice per roll. Although, upgrading requires special laboratories. Researching may also require certain things to be unlocked, for example you can’t make radar without making circuits. If there’s something you want but isn’t shown in technology, I’ll allow you to research it if it’s not to outlandish.

Technology:
Your technology is a list of all obtained research. It will also contain available research.

Action:
Actions are defined actions that including communications, drone control, repairing, and enabling/disabling factories. You can have unlimited actions in one turn, although each object can only be controlled once. For example you can’t disable then enable a factory.

And then what’s a forum game without players? An abandoned forum game.
I’ll currently allow eight players. I may expand it amount at some point, but not for now.

Anyways if you want to join just say your AI name and optionally a preferred starting biome.

Forest (Large area of trees and plant life)
Taiga (Cold areas populated with rough terrain and pine trees)

As you land you skid across the ground wiping out a large patch of forest, only stopping once you hit a large hill and become slight embedded. Manual control is disabled while your survival system is automatically deployed. The new machine is built, while not as efficient as the one you came with. It will provide a good power source, If fuel can be kept up.
