Before you even understand what you are doing, you attempt to place the drill you have to see how this factory thing works. While doing this you place on a ridge near the water, and find a lucky iron deposit, despite all odds. You suspect for future constructions you will have to actually find such ore by scanning for it.

Survey area (6):
You deploy your drone and take a view of the surrounding area. You can see the lake you landed in is actually quite small, and is fed off a river a short way east. The area is actaully flat, with the lake resemble a large puddle in the flat terrain. After some time spend just, investigating, you think you see some kind of drill on the river side in the distance.

After having extra time back up in space, you were given some spare blueprints that were up there. You manage to load one of these blueprints, this one being for fluid piping.

Construct screw drill (1):
You attempt to stake your own section of the coal. Unfortunately, you have major trouble
getting at this, as it is a very far distance, and even just laying the conveyer belt becomes exhausting as power gets lower. You end up delaying several times, to the point where the plan may need rethink.

Scout for something interesting (4):
While failing to accomplish work on the drill, you at least manage to do some scouting.
You scout to the east and find an icy river flowing out a cave in the ice, the river leads northward, you follow it north to find ruins. These ruins are several building that are made of concrete, glass, and rusted steel, seemingly preserved by the cold climate. You aren’t sure as to where these buildings came from.

Research ‘creating life’ (1):
With the corpse of one of these ‘aliens’ obtained, you commence an autopsy, and attempt to see if it could be used to create life. Short answer: no. From what you can gather their flesh seems to contain silicates and can bind to electronics through an unknown mechanism, and their carapaces are made out of scrap and old electronics, melded together, presumably with their acid. But none of this points to being able to creature life using whatever they possess.

I’m sorry to say, but I’m going killing off this forum game. The reasons are that I have been burnt out on this, and that I currently don’t have internet access on my computer since I moved recently.
