I knew about carcinization already though…
But will we be able to uplift other species?

Then why were you asking “why does everything keep evolving into crabs?”? Also, did you watch the video in its entirety? It’s important for the full* understanding.

Don’t worry, i watched the whole thing. Not sure why i kept asking though. Probably for the memez. Sorry about that. :frowning:

What do you think thrive is? Civ6?

No, i think it is Spore but better.
(plot twist: that isn’t sarcasm)
(I actually think Thrive is THE ULTIMATE GAME)

Thrive 4x styled spin off?

Exactly, bub. Except aren’t all RTSes 4xes?

No even though Thrive will technically be a 4x in the last stages.
And majority of rtses focus on combat. 4x is also economics and such.

EXplore, EXpand, EXploit and EXterminate. That is what i think a 4x is. It could be turn-based, or real-time.

I’m just saying what wikipedia says.

Oh. I see. I think i have nothing left to inject into the conversation now.
Bye-bye!
flies into the giant hexagon in the sky and explodes
(don’t ask why there is a giant hexagon careening towards the forums)

somebody should make a version of thrive that uses LUA code so people can play thrive in minecraft using CC

What’s CC?
and obligatory fun fact: ROBLOX runs on Lua!

Probably Computer Craft

Got it. Thought it meant, like, compute code or something lol.

You know, that’s basically impossible, right? Even if Thrive was written in Lua, there’d need to be a specific version that is adapted to whatever input/output model is usable in that environment. Lua doesn’t have a game engine by default, so all games written in Lua use an engine that’s written in another language that just loads the Lua code for scripting purposes.

Like ROBLOX?

If someone wants to do that, they can attempt it, but I doubt the game creation tools in Roblox are good enough or the effort required to make Thrive is so much that whoever attempts it, will give up partway through.
