Without a doubt.
I grow cucumbers and to find out… I went through the study day with a heavy head and a little lack of appetite.
At least I mentioned to the person who is currently growing the cucumbers (my parents) to check that there are no more cucumbers infected with maggots.

Just thinking about it makes me shudder, and I’m not someone who gets easily disgusted.

Only good news - we were rarely able to remove 100% of his cancer, at the cost of part of the back jaw and teeth.

He is officially cancer free, but the recovery process will take more time (teeth need to be reimplanted) and we need to check that it really doesn’t come back.

This is also valid for plants. I have a big yard with quite a handful of trees. My mother was going to do the lawn near a small crab apple tree, which had a big sapling next to it. I didn’t want it to get cut, so I dug underneath to extract the sapling with its root intact and put it in a plant pot. Unfortunately, it did not survive. That reminds me that if it was still alive for almost 5 years (that’s how long it takes for a sapling to mature into a tree and it was pretty big for a sapling), maybe there was no chance that it was going to get cut due to its size and location. I should’ve left it there and just let nature do its thing.
