I think this isnโt exactly a question of time, but rather of how said politics are discussed. For example, a discussion about the politics of the ancient world in a neutral, historical tone, would probably be fine, but someone arguing why the ancient Egyptian monarchy was better that democracy could ever be would be unacceptable.

I donโt think weโll be seeing a movement to allow political discussions anytime soon. If ever. The role of โThrive Political Discussionsโ belonged to the #Humanities channel on TCDS prior to the channel being โmuted foreverโ as hhyyrylainen said.

muting is just a personal thing so you donโt get notified of messages from a discord channel

I agree, but it would be easier to not even do that much, right? So you just spew your BS for a ton of paragraphs without bothering to put any links to other sources backing you up at all.
Yeah, no. Itโs just a personal thing so that the channel never shows for me as having new messages so that I donโt need to constantly check it to clear the new messages indicator on Discord.

This is the scary part, it would be easiest to do that, unless you have a source prepared and ready to go. I had my wikipedia articles nearly memorized because the american right loves lying and saying democrats tried to kill him. Music had their sources nearly memorized because thatโs the sort of media they consume in their spare time, for fun or to be โinformed.โ Maybe not all of it, maybe some memorized just for arguments, but you have to like at least some of it. If you look at the sources theyโre basically agreeing with all the BS they spewed. There is an entire media ecosystem made to produce those kinds of sources, not for use as sources, if that only secondarily, but to be consumed as news or entertainment. The American right (at least some of it, no true scotsman and all that, most moderate christian GOP folks are actually quite nice and sane aside from abortion) finds violent misogyny and often enough racism entertaining or funny. I know finlandโs metal scene has a problem with that sort of people, so maybe become a metalhead if you want to get exposed the those worldviews. Or donโt, itโs not pleasant, theyโre annoying.

I think comparing systems could actually be okay so long as itโs not moralizing. If someone argues that in the ancient world the egyptians got a lot more done because they had absolutism and athans had democracy that could be an interesting discussion so long as no one says โand thatโs the good guysโ or โthe modern world should be like thatโ

GNOME and KDE making their own distro? Time for an interview! @hhyyrylainen, what are your thoughts on this? 
If only there were more videos pointing out garbage ones. That way, I wouldnโt fall for some of them.

What is KDE and GNOME?
Frankly, I donโt have an opinion. The only nice thing would be if KDE made their multimonitor support work on a basic level like GNOME does.

PLEASE I need decent multimonitor KDE, Wayland makes everything better on that front but I want a bit more sanity.
Linux desktop environments. That might not mean anything to you either, but Iโm not really qualified to explain Linux in a response.
