The Oscars are a joke.

Would you prefer it is replaced with something else, or gotten rid of completely?

The Oscars are too tied to too many things. If an awards show has integrity, isnโ€™t also lacks connections, and thus no one cares. There is no viable solution. for now, we need to venerate actual movie reviewers and follow the ones we trust.

The problem is some movie reviewers, which includes some YouTubers, constantly bad-mouth movies on purpose (not including CinemaSins because it meant to be hilarious) for getting clicks and views. Also, on the opposite side of the scale, there are reviewers who just love every movie; this isnโ€™t a bad thing by itself, but more often than not, they are not critical of many aspects of a movie, either.

From my experience, movie critics these days actually bring up valid points. When a movie fails financially, you canโ€™t blame the audience for not liking it. That said, Iโ€™ll stop talking about it because it can become political very quickly.

Speaking of VR, the Deckard controllers are rumored to not have finger tracking, which is weird because Valve integrated splay sensing to SteamVR. Iโ€™ve long been thinking about LucidVR gloves, but OpenGloves doesnโ€™t support Linux at the moment. Although, OpenGloves drivers are apparently supported by Monado, but I donโ€™t know how that works. Also, Vive Ultimate Trackers are way too expensive and donโ€™t support Linux either, which is a shame as VR without lighthouses is nice.

I was talking about those who bad-mouth movies for just getting clicks and views, rather than for actually improving the โ€œartโ€ of movie making. Which also depends on the genre of film in question, and the target demographic/audience.

Also, yeahโ€ฆUnfortunately, everything has become political these days.

Iโ€™ve heard there were a couple of โ€œalternative oscarsโ€ on the rise, even if not quite as popular as the oscars themselves.

I would first have to play them all once they are completed to give an accurate answer.

True, but which one do you think people will like the most?

In terms of most interesting? I donโ€™t think previous evolution games that I know of previously have the equivalent of Macroscopic, Aware, and Awakening stages. I think maybe the Awakening stage for the general population, since creatures become more intelligent and on their way towards sapience. For me, it would be Macroscopic, since I would get see the gaps in how life evolved from Pre-Ediaracan Biota, or โ€œFrancevillian Biotaโ€.

Would ediacaran biota still count as โ€œmacroscopicโ€?

Many Ediacarans donโ€™t have neural tissue, so I think it should.

Btw, aware only counts when you have developed a brain, not just neural tissues.

Will it be possible to make an organism that look like a brain?

Probably, through that doesnโ€™t mean you will be able to make an organism that is ONLY brain.
