THE NEW Miscellaneous Talk That Doesn't Deserve A New Thread Thread Thread (Part 2)

I saw the new “Mission Impossible” movie a few days ago. For someone who doesn’t watch that kind of movie, I personally enjoyed it, but now I have to finish the rest of the movie series. But my parents, who are loyal viewers, said it was one of his worst. Now I really have to see the rest of the movie series to see the truth behind it.

I also had a conversation about the Lilo and Stitch movie and personally, I would really rather not go to the movie and go to the pirate side just so they don’t do it again.

In fact, I think it would be a good idea to limit them and all the companies in the world to only create new things or sequels with the same IP but never tell almost the same story again (not counting fairy tale sources, like the old movies (Sleeping Beauty the original) or new ones (The Wild Robot) to give them a break from making original movies. They do this mainly for money and I mean in general - to put a law that limits the greed of the industry that has opened up since the beginning of Corona once and for all.

Some of the series do this well in terms of reinvention (Arcane, Wheel of Time are excellent examples of taking from the original IP and making a change) and I expect that the movies could do the same to please me.

Already in Europe a law has been passed regarding microtransactions and the spin behind it that finally puts things where they should have been earlier and all the companies are just waiting for the moment for one of the big ones to fall into law to make a change.

Why not the same for the rest of the companies in the world, regardless of the field?

Unfortunately here the world has been following the American model and not the European one, and these are the results.

Not being able to access the internet for several days is never a good thing. Maybe I need to get a new computer.

Are you sure the router is not the case?

It could be a router issue, too. Apparently, it is advisable to change the router password and update security settings on routers now because of increased security concerns.

How dire is your need of getting a new computer?

I am seriously considering it in the fall, when Windows 10 no longer gets free security updates.

Based on what they did with the existing characters, the quality of the overall plot, and the unnecessary length…Yeah, I can definitely see why people would say that about MI: Final Reckoning. I am disappointed that the movie did not have the Entity replace its agent with Solomon Lane from MI 5: Rogue Nation and MI 6: Fallout. Or have the Entity threaten the world with the release of a new version of the Chimera virus (from MI: 2) if people continued to interfere with its plans.

I think another reason Disney keeps on making these “Live Action” Remakes is to continue their copyrights on the originals.

Also, how on Earth is The Lion King Live Action Remake, and Mufasa, considered Live Action if there are effectively all CGI? :person_shrugging:  :person_facepalming:

At least someone enjoyed it. I wonder what he will think about it when he is older?

Not sure he’ll actually remember it; he’s only two years old.

It would be interesting to see how would one make animals play roles like actors

Would dubbing real animals with the voice actors make this better or worse? :disturbing:

Probably worse. If we were to go full live action for such movie, we’d need genetically altered creatures probably.

And any proof has to be in the form of a scientific essay where most sentences must have at least one source reference after it (preferably to scientific sources like papers and pre-pub papers).

guessing it’s just sentences that state things that aren’t already obvious to the average leyman(like o2 being a good oxidizer), and sentences that restate things that sources were provided for, that don’t require sources?
and i’m guessing that assuming an earthlike environment is preferred as well?

Are you really going to try to prove UCs/SPCs like many before you tried and failed?
