THE NEW Miscellaneous Talk That Doesn't Deserve A New Thread Thread Thread (Part 2)

Well I am pretty sure it should be more resiliant to such environmental disasters the Aral suffered…

After all, it’s the largest lake on earth.

That doesn’t mean it would be completely immune and we could still see the shallower northern part of the Caspian receding, creating aral-like landscapes there…

I wonder how many more are there but are just hidden deep within the crust…

There are so many more craters from that time period we will never find, due to crust recycling.

Was anyone else disappointed by the new Walking with Dinosaurs? This article sums up what I also think are some of the problems with this reboot.

I though after Prehistoric Planet there wouldn’t be an attempted revival of that older show?

The WWD reboot is just like other paleodocumentaries, which is a problem considering WWD, WWB, and WWM did not feature in-person presenters. I have nothing against showing Paleontologists working in the field and explaining things, but interrupting the dinsoar story every five minutes is annoying. Maybe I should look at Prehistoric Planet, which was similar; if only I did not need to subscribe to the another streaming service to watch it…

I wonder how many “documentaries” would be created immediately after if we discovered an alien non-sapient biosphere…

I wonder how expensive VR documentaries will be as technology and availability progress?

Probably rather expensive initially at least.

Update on “Wood if they Could”.

10 pages of actual Essay plus 8 pages consisting of the first 162 resources into this project (about half way done?), I have determined that a few pieces could use rearranging/expanding, which will likely add a week or two to a project that was already taking twice as long as originally anticipated. It MIGHT be finished by the end of August, but given that my September down time is mostly already spoken for, this project will more likely roll into October. Also, that is with the decision to hold off proving cement for a separate future essay (I think that argument could use more work).

On the plus side, I think I figured out Rust Preventative. Yay.

What is this project again? I… kind of forgot about it.

Lol, then I guess you won’t mind waiting longer for it then.

I wonder how many posts would it take if it were to be posted on the forum…

Well, it is my goal to EVENTUALLY post it on the forum, and if it happens to end up needed multiple posts, so be it. I will deal with that when I get that far. Though that will not likely be this summer like I had originally hoped. Maybe I will delay it till closer to Christmas to get a bit more into it. Or maybe not.

Posts have a limit of 32000 characters, how much does the doc have so far?

Oh my. I am up to 58,810 already. It seems my dream of earning the coveted Überforbidden Achievement may actually happen, and with THAT type of post of all things.

Edit: Oh wait, that specifies “accidentally”. So if I intentionally post a REALLY long post, it doesn’t count?
