Technically - you’re absolutely right.

I have experience reading tarot cards, but not to the level of someone who really does it. I think it would be interesting to use them instead of dice as a luck mechanic. I haven’t seen anyone use them as a luck spell and if I can understand in depth how to read these cards, it could be useful to me (for fun of course) for things I didn’t think I could do before.

I think so, actually, the more I think about it.

Unlike dice - tarot cards have a spectral range of how to tell a story by luck.

So using this instead of dice can really spice things up.

Genesis doesn’t use luck so there’s really no point in it. (You can look at the game documentation to see my point. Prove me otherwise if you find anything that could fall under the definition of luck that isn’t a waste of resources)

But it’s very possible as a more interesting replacement and especially suitable for Remmortal - because in the way the game is converted from numbers - it’s very flat and I have to build around that.

In contrast - using these cards whose variations are quite astronomical - can also direct the direction of the story and luck at the same time and that it won’t be relatively similar like with dice - allows for more creativity. (I’ll still use numbers to calculate damage and chance of hitting - because in this I simply use RNG and not dice).

This can enter in the 10th round as a natural process of the game.

Much more than that.
Leaving aside the fact that the ‘real’ humans are finally dead, there are many other reasons - the ‘Intercomic Alliance Project’, interference by the Void beings, the ‘Arms of the Universe’, and yes - the fact that I said that Round 10 will change the formula!!

So it goes pretty naturally as the story and game develop.

Why don’t I go for it, then I’ll go learn how to really use the Tarot and then we’ll talk

What if Revolutionary Games made Thrive-themed Tarrot cards?

I think it was suggested some time ago to make a thrive card game of some sort but the idea flopped…
