Well it has some uses, not what weโ€™re using it for though, stuff like medicine and computing, as well as video game characters which weโ€™ve been using it for for decades

I think the bubble is about the more โ€œadvancedโ€ AIs and not ones like this.

Yeah, although even with LLMs I wouldnโ€™t be surprised if theyโ€™re used a little bit(but much less) than now

Iirc most of their uses were found to be detrimental longterm except for the protein folding thing.

I donโ€™t think people realize how bad it can be for the economy in general if the AI bubble bursts as all stock markets are probably going to crash pretty hard. So even if it would be nice if massive corporations used less AI, the impact on everyday people from a sudden collapse might be pretty terrible.

It is made by Tim Haines and Impossible Pictures, who created Walking with Dinosaurs (1999), Walking with Beasts (2001), Sea Monsters (2003), and Walking with Monsters (2005). The 2025 Walking with Dinosaurs was made for the BBC by a different company.
