Are posts-to-thread splits really posts? Since it seems like the forum thinks so. Would it be fine to post after them?

Probably not, given we need 9992 more posts and we have some 350 days left before 2.0.0 probably releases we’d need to have around 29 posts a day here, a rate that is seen rarely in misc threads.
