The fact that it HAS an Atmosphere means that the atmosphere can change/be changed over time to something more life supportive. And donโt forget, LUCA is thought to have been Anaerobic.
Also, the article suggests the possibility that Oxygen and other elements may be present at a lower level of the atmosphere. The evidence of what is below the upper layer of atmosphere is inconclusive.
