The mod TNO:Requiem for Hearts of Iron 4 has got me thinking about the white emigre community recently, as many of the Russian warlords it offers are based on the group. More specifically, it got me thinking about my great-grandfather Jack Selick (his anglicized name which I hope isnโt enough to inadvertently dox me) who fled the Russian Civil War. A question has been plaguing my mind recently: was he one of the white emigres, or just a civilian fleeing the chaos? For those who donโt know, the white emigre community, according to Wikipedia, were russians who fled the country during the civil war who were in opposition to the revolutionary Bolsheviks. Iโm mainly looking for his original Russian name, and his leanings. Hereโs what info I know:
Name (anglicized): Jack Selick
Fled to: Pennsylvania, sometime during the RCW
Lifetime: 18?? - 1949
Children: 2 (one being my grandma)
Thatโs about all info I can provide off the top of my head. If you find his name & whether or not he was one of those white emigres, let me know. Any other information is appreciated. this might cause a wild goose chase

I think weโd need to know who they were before the emigration to see whether theyโre a white emigre or not.
A new organelle dubbed a Hydrogenobody was found in some ciliates of cows, which through extra hydrogen may induce Archaea found in their gut to make more methane. Unlike Hydrogenosomes, Hydrogenobodies have a single membrane.

So itโs kind of more of a variant of an already existing organelle?
