Because the forum wasn’t designed to be an instant message board, it was designed to be a place to foster intelligent discussion about science, the game, and the creative roads we can take based around this game. People are supposed to put effort into these, because it’s supposed to be more like writing a letter than just chatting with your pals. That’s why we have the shoutbox and the discord. But nobody seems to get that, and so we get shit threads like these with people insulting each other openly.
